The plug does not fit in the lighter fitment and no matter how much I tried to force it in , it just wouldn't fit. I was going to return it but to be honest It's more trouble than its worth to keep driving to the post office to send it back. So it's gone in the bin......unfortunately it seems that the quality of some products sold through Amazon are just on up to par these days.

Comes with a USB lead to charge a phone with. The size is tiny compared to standard car lighter devices. Very neat. Short and stumpy!

fits perfectly, works perfectly and I can now close the 'door' on my dashboard without having to remove the charger. Buy it.

My last in-car charger couldn't provide enough power for a Samsung Galaxy S3 to be used as a SatNav and the phone used to slowly discharge on-route. Then I got a Sony Xperia Z1 and it couldn't even tell that it was plugged it! With this new charger the phone actually charges up while I drive, even with SatNav turned on.

Nice and small too!

I have tried cheaper alternatives which did not deliver, so resorted to Sony Ericsson's own product for the job. I wish I had at the start as this is competitively priced and as they say "it does exactly what it says on the tin" to paraphrase a well known advert.

This is an original Sony product.
The charging rate is very good, even when phone is used as satnav..
This is nothing negative about this product.
I would recommend this product to any Sony Xperia phone user.

Bang on, works great. Had it for a while now and it works perfectly.

The cable and charger both are charger quality, not just the lower ampage cables you get for transferring data, this is a proper charger.

When its working, you can hear slight interference if youre using an aux cable, but thats going to happen with every charger. The important thing is that it works consistently, it looks good in the car and its durable, it ticks all these boxes. I would recommend this as a good charger for any android phone.

Very neat and compact car charger. My HTC android phone recognises the charger as AC rather than USB so draws approximately 1 amp from it, charges as fast as the original HTC wall charger. The first one I ordered appeared to work (LED lit and phone said charging), but was drawing 46mA 12v with or without phone connected, and outputting less than 1mA 3.8v with phone connected (i.e. didn't actually charge). The reseller gave an immediate refund so I purchased an identical replacement from another reseller and it works perfectly.

Bought a non branded usb charger from Currys that would not keep up with my Experia when using the sat nav. This genuine item works perfectly.

Works as you'd expect and seems well made and is very good value. Charges our Xperia Z1 and Z3 Compact at a pretty fast rate. Supplied with a USB cable around a metre in length. Is totally sealed so I assume isn't fused. Completely plug and play.

Note:- received a 'Sony Ericsson' branded charger rather than the 'SONY' branded one that some of the pics show... both products apart from this appear identical in every other way.

Recommended.
