4.0 out of 5 stars Decent eReader with lots of format support
Overall the iRiver Cover Story is a great eReader. I will list the Pros and Cons below:

Pros
Compatible with lots of formats including Epub/Pdf and doc without having to convert.
Touch screen which works well (not as fast as a top of the range smart phone though)

This review is from: iriver Cover Story EB05 6" Touch Screen Ebook reader (Misc.)
Overall the iRiver Cover Story is a great eReader. I will list the Pros and Cons below:

Pros
Compatible with lots of formats including Epub/Pdf and doc without having to convert.
Touch screen which works well (not as fast as a top of the range smart phone though)
Screen is perfectly readable
Easy to setup (Windows XP/Vista/7 all recognised it without needing any drivers)
Works well alongside Calibre software (free on the net)
Can take an SD card to expand storage unlike Kindle

Cons
No plug so have to charge from USB cable
Screen not quite as clear as the kindle (but still perfectly readable)

I connected to computer with usb cable(only way to charge it short of buying mains adapter as an extra) and although it is supposed to be compatable with windows 7 I could not get into the reader as it was not recognised by computer. Tried to return to Waterstones but to no avail was told it was working so not interested if it didnt work on windows 7.
I have now done my research and would advise that if you want an ebook reader buy the kindle it is a great and much superior item.
