I bought this to protect my laptop after is was attacked last month. I have used norton in the past and found it good...but it was alway sooooooo slow on m y system. This version worked really really well, I didn't even need to get our IT fellow to install it:) I did it all myself! It picked up all the stuff that got in there last time and while it is still a little slow, it is no where near as slow as the old version I had! So i think it is great improvement, well done. I will probalbly buy another copy for my other computers if they start to have the same problems I did.

Norton seems to have been able to improve the software every year. The 2011 version does not slow the system down as much as previous versions and gets on with protecting the computer without needing any input from the user.

One word of warning at the end of the year DON'T pay for the next year on line but buy a new disc.

There are two reasons for this - firstly it is much cheaper to buy a disc from Amazon than to purchase another years protection on line from Norton.

Secondly once you buy from Norton it is likely that they will access your credit card in subsequent years without your knowledge for the renewal of the anti virus subcription. This has happened to me twice but the software on my machine would not recognise that the subscription had been payed. Sorting this out involved 20 or so e-mails, letters and phone calls to the credit card company and three phone calls to Norton over a period of three months

I've been using Norton for my AntiVirus for many, many years. It always delivers, with a neat window to show you what has been blocked and the level of threat.
All protection slows down computers in my experience, and Norton is no exception. However, the combination of better technology in the computers themselves, and Norton improving their programming, results in only a small slow down.
I can't recommend this product highly enough, and am delighted to have received it through the Vine programme. I missed the opportunity last year, and chose to subscribe to it myself. I'll keep on subscribing to this product as it has not yet failed me and it's easy and quick to install.

Worth the price. I had Norton 360 which was
due for renewal. I found this one which has
all features like 360 and is available in single
machine licence. Norton 360 comes only
in 3 pc licence which I don't need. So I
took this one, much cheaper than 360.

The product slows down your getting into the internet if you have just booted up the PC, but this doesn't happen once you have given it time to have a quick scan round. Afterwards it doesn't slow things up at all. A small diasadvantage for a product that has kept me completely free of interferences for seven years and puts some more dangerous pfisching e-mails straight into the Spam bin.

I've used Norton AV products for a few years now, and each version seems to be better and faster than the last.
And don't forget, as others have pointed out, it's far cheaper to buy this than another year's subscription online!

It was working immediately. I am very happy with this product. I would recommend it to anyone who needs antivirus software.

Great! bit concerned it didn't come in a case, and was only in a CD sleeve, but hey, it works, my PC is protected, and thats what I'm paying for, not the case!! will be back next year!!

Easy to install,and the instructions are easy to follow even for somebody like me. Always working and interesting to see what it picks up, different levels will suit most users.
