wrung Lecrae's Rebel album to the max...and was looking forward to this one. Whilst some of the tracks are mellower I think over time there is more length and breadth and depth to this one. You know Lecraes dropping dope beats and rhymes when the kids are nodding their heads in the back of the car giving up worship to God to tunes like "We are Children of the Light" (rock/rap and reggae in one!!!), "You Just Gotta know" (a catchy fast moving track bout ups and downs of life and knowing Father is in control) and "Boasting" with a brilliant acoustic/mor/rap thang going on - for sure Lecrae speaks from the heart and it is a heart mashed up with the Grace and Truth of the Father!

While lyrically, as always, it's a good album that's thought-provoking in it's own right, I can't help but feel that it's not quite as fiery as some of his previous work. I've struggled to listen to this as intensely and play it as frequently as I have all of the previous work. That being said, it's not a bad album, just one I wish I'd probably just borrowed from a friend instead of buying. :)

THIS ALBUM IS AMAZING. Have listened to it non stop for the last month and i'm still not tired.. really encouraging, mature theology and insight into the human heart, deep lyrics, lots to think about and GREAT sound easily comparable to anything secular. Its quite a mellow album overall.. lots of melody alongside the rap. I love it. Thanks be to God :-)

This new album to me is slightly disapointing.Lecrae's other albums are much more in your face full on gospel preaching but this isnt like this.It has a very comercial sound and it's almost as if its two albums in one .It doesn't really get going till track 13.Still it's not a bad album and by other so called christian artists it would be way above their abilities ,but for Lecrae not his best effort.
