5.0 out of 5 stars Courtesy of Teens Read Too
After an unsuccessful escape plan, Otto and Wing acknowledge H.I.V.E. as their residence for now.

Unfortunately, Dr. Nero will have a difficult time explaining the circumstances of the attempted escape to the G.L.O.V.E. and Number One. Clearly, Number One is unhappy that the event took place, and Cypher believes that now is the perfect time to openly challenge...

3.0 out of 5 stars An interesting change
If you've read any teenage spy school type books, Cherub, Spy High etc etc... You may have wondered, 'if the good guys go to this place, what about the baddies?' They go to HIVE - a decent twist on on the genre, showing the school for Bond-style baddies and general evil geniuses.

This review is from: H.I.V.E. 2: Overlord Protocol (Kindle Edition)
Wow amazing! All the HIVE books are so good and would make the best books especially with the funny and amazing characters (yes Franz as well). Anybody who doesn't make this inyo a film or worse not like the book is out of their mind! Really I could not let go of these books - they are the reason I go to bed at 12 O'clock and arrive at school late!

This is a book with a number of plot twists. It is exciting and kept my 14 year old son enthralled throughout. Very enjoyable for a teenager.

A good young adult action book with spys and secret agents, good guys and bad guys. Not in the class of Alex Rider, Jason Steed but uo there with Joe Craig's Jimmy Coates and Charlie Higsons Young James Bond. They could be made into a film.

If you've read any teenage spy school type books, Cherub, Spy High etc etc... You may have wondered, 'if the good guys go to this place, what about the baddies?' They go to HIVE - a decent twist on on the genre, showing the school for Bond-style baddies and general evil geniuses.

It loses a few points when the school for villainy, although having a thoroughly morally dubious curriculum, shows absolutely no sign of any evil anywhere within the system, and only very little above that. Obviously it's a 'best friends saving the school/day/world' book, but disappointingly the evil to be conquered is more evil villains than the good evil villains... Err... Wait. The nice evil baddies have to save the world from the bad evil baddies. Anyway, if there isn't a struggle against the forces of good in the 3rd book, I'm not going to read on. Nice baddies versus nasty baddies isn't as fun as good versus evil, 'but which is which?' that the two HIVE books should have been, and would have been improved by.
