I have been taking Organic Virgin coconut oil for a while now as a supplement ( it does wonders for so much!). My normal supply ( from abroad), ran out faster than I had expected, so I looked for a replacement. After research, I decided to try Tiana Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. When I received the oil, I was surprised and unhappy to find that the oil had a strong, artificial, 'coconut flavouring' smell. Upon taking the the oil(warmed), I noticed a chemical after taste. Maybe I just received a dodgy batch, but I had to force myself to continue taking the oil until I could no longer stomach the smell and after-taste. I only got a quarter of the way through the jar.
In all fairness, if I was only using this topically, the smell would bother me a little, but the after-taste was a step too far. When I pay for a Virgin, organic product, I expect it to be unadulterated- which I don't feel this product is.
