Impossibly low price (around GBP14). Great as bike cam.
(Apparently, this is one of many clones of other more expensive cameras.)
It records 30-35 mins before the 2Gb is full (you can buy bigger cards), I haven't got a bigger card, so haven't been able to test the full battery length.
Sound recording is ok. It doesn't take stills.
No micro card was included when received, but the excellent seller, Nº1 gadget store sent one immediately. Thankyou.
The sino-english instructions are not helpful (as expected) so here are some things you might find useful:
The voice activation is not very sensitive: press the mode button (quick red flashing light) and clap or talk loudly (red light flashes slowly when recording).
The software provided is the webcam Driver (file name SPCA... ) and a video player in chinese, should you ever want one. On my PC, they only installed after i had first copied them to the PC.
The date stamp which appears on the video you take has to be updated (only once); you open and edit the TAG file provided on the CD (just change the time and date to the present (in wordpad, for example)) and copy it to the card on the camera. (If you want to remove the date stamp, i found a video on youtube, but didn't try it out as i want to keep it on.)
All in all, excellent value; you really can't complain for the price.

This is not an original MD80.
You can buy these from eBay and are despatched from China for around £5 to £7.
This is a clone copy of an original and I advise anyone to search on eBay for these.
The Original MD80 has a sliding on/off switch and also the original is made of metal and not cheap plastic as this is.
You are paying 3 time the amount for this cheap nasty Chinese clone.
This seller is ripping you off so I suggest you stay clear and do not buy until you have searched for the same product on eBay.
I have just searched and I found one exactly the same for £5.50 and free postage.
The original box on an original M80 will say "DV Mini cam" and not as this one says "Voice Recorder" this is how I know it is fake and you are being ripped off.
Don't get me wrong, I own one of these and they do work but very very cheap and you should not have to pay any more than £5 for this cheap clone.
If it is shiny plastic and has a push button on/off and a push button mode switch then this is definitely 100% fake.
Just be careful and search on eBay or you can even look on Amazon for the original MD80 which I have found for £17 with free postage.
I urge you not to buy this cheap garbage.

GOOD CAMERA FOR THE MONEY BUT HAS TWO PROBLEMS.
FIRST IS THE SIZE OF VIDEO RECORDED IN AVI FORMAT ( WHY NOT MP4 ?) IT RECORDS ONLY 10 MINUTES OF VID PER 1 GB AND SEEMS TO RECORD DIFFERENT LENGHTS OF TIME EACH TIME,SO FAR MINE RECORDED BETWEEN 10-29 MINUTES ON 1 GB CARD AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT RECORDS MORE MINUTES INDOORS THAN OUTDOORS FOR SOME STRANGE REASON.
SECOND THING IS THE LENS .COULD BE MORE WIDE ANGLE TO CAPTURE BETTER VIEW NOT JUST WHATS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF IT AND THAT WOULD ALSO HELP ELIMINATE SHAKING FROM WHICH IT SUFFERS A BIT TOO.
VIDEO AND SOUND QUALITY IS ACCEPTABLE AND COMES WITH LOTS OF ACCESSORIES AND 2 GB CARD WHICH WILL GIVE 20 MINUTES OF RECORDING TIME SO YOU CHOOSE YOURSELFES WHETHER ITS WORTH BUYING OR NOT..
