This review is from: Sennheiser HDR 160 Additional Digital Wireless Over-Ear Headphones (Without Transmitter) (Electronics)
Sennheiser has always produced exellent products, even the cheaper headphones.I have paid up to two grand on hi fi kit but never expensive headphones.I paid one hundred to use now and then. They are well made comfortable and light to wear.sound quality is exellent well balanced, bass not boomy and treble is good.Woud buy again.I must say that I recomend seller.service was exellent.I orderd the replacement headphones instead of headphones with transmitter.I opened them and still they replaced without question no problem.Hope some use to any one.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4.5/5, 12 April 2014
This review is from: Sennheiser HDR 160 Additional Digital Wireless Over-Ear Headphones (Without Transmitter) (Electronics)
These headphones rock. In my subjective view they are of an audiophile quality, which, given that they are wireless, is quite an achievement. The range is good.

There is an occasional drop in signal if you walk with the receiver in your bag. But not a deal breaker by any means as on the whole they are good. There were some comments however from people expressing drop outs more often with higher ceiling rooms. In my case these dropouts are fairly negligible except when walking in which case occasionally prompt me having to shift the receiver around at times.

Good bass, mids alright, slight roll off in the highs according to graphs but balanced on the whole. Separation is good, sound stage is small but good sound isolation and comfortable.

Battery life - two full days for the cans and maybe two to three weeks of every day use for the receiver on a single charge. I use rechargeable & expect not of the best kind & old-ish, around 7 years at least.

I bought them to use with my tv when my little one sleeps but they are so great that use them almost all the time when tv is switched on. and my junior has another pair as well - he loves it.
it's quite difficult to pair with a receiver but everything is possible (one star minus) I can walk around my house up and down floor even go to my garage and still a signal is fantastic.

These are high performance headphones that will your life very easy. Very good base performance. Can be used in couples or more with the same base so you can have fun with your partner or friends. Superb for games where you get very well isolated from your surroundings for great ambience. A great purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Have proved reasonably effective in my house, 8 Jan. 2012
This review is from: Sennheiser HDR 160 Additional Digital Wireless Over-Ear Headphones (Without Transmitter) (Electronics)
Bought these headphones for my wife. Quality of sound has proved to be very good. Coverage is reasonable ... when plugged in in one room, they work in the closer rooms but stray too far and they cut out (4 bedroom detached house). They are fine for "pottering about in the kichen/diningroom/sitting room".
