5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Banco, 8 Jan 2013
This review is from: Last Train to Lhasa (Audio CD)
Bought Last Train To Lhasa (double CD) in the late ninties and also Maya shortly afterwards. Listened to them both on and off, then recently ripped them to my hard-drive, edited the following twelve selected tracks intros and outros down onto one CD. They are in order; Last Train To Lhasa, Kuos, China, Amber; Kincajou, White Paint, Kuos (gnomes mix), Heliopolis, Mafich Arabi, Sunspot, Qurna, and Sheesha. This is now one of my favorite CD's that I play more often as it always puts me in a good mood, which is why I listen to music in the first place. The rhythms and percussion are brilliant with a Tibetan/Eastern flavour. Some tracks are uptempo but accompanied with relaxing chanting. It doesn't get better than this. Just ordered two more of his CD's. So thank you Banco. Thank you Toby.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic ambience, 15 Mar 2012
This review is from: Last Train to Lhasa (Audio CD)
A much overlooked ambient classic. A must purchase if you enjoyed "maya" or own anything by the orb. Great double cd package.
