this is a great toy fridge for the barbie dolls, it is well made with some nice pieces of food and my daughter loves it, it is quite realistic looking and has a light inside, it also has a sound effect when filling the cup with the ice/water. i do have a grumble about it though which is its size, it is bigger then expected and i dont think true to size for barbie, this is not a big problem if you just want it as a seperate play piece but if like me it is required to fit in a barbie house as a piece of furniture you may find it too big, luckily the barbie house we have was a really big one so we just about get away with it even though it does take most of the kitchen space up! because of this the food pieces also look big at the side of barbie or when set out on their dining table, in my opinion it was probably not meant to be put inside a doll house, more for use as a seperate play item ? to sum it up if my daughter had commented on the above i probably would have returned it and found something more suitable but because she really loves it then i'm happy enough with that, i just feel a little confused on its purpose - is it a seperate childs toy or is it supposed to be for use by the barbies (if that makes sense).

It's been great fun for your 4-year old and her older friends (7-8 year old) have been fascinated, too!
The ice-cube "machine" and lights are especially fun. In addition to Barbie it suits playing with bigger dolls, as well.
