5.0 out of 5 stars What more can they do?
The new Fila Brazillia album following The life and times of Phoebus Brumal that was released 6 months earlier is the another masterpiece in their collection. 2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Initial impressions: Snippets of ideas, sounds more like a bunch of demos in search of an album. Everything is chucked in here including some very tired-sounding retro drum machine and synth work. Some good moments but definitely not the sum of its parts. Can't see me returning to it that often... sort of like a funked-up 'Music for Films'... but not as good.

The new Fila Brazillia album following The life and times of Phoebus Brumal that was released 6 months earlier is the another masterpiece in their collection. After creative break and relativelly weaker Jump Leads album,Phoebus Brumal and especially Dicks are again the state of the art in electronic music. Shorter songs, slow but very refined downbeat flavoured with Fila's spices and unusual perception of sound are all over this cd. Unusual use of different sounds and limited use of vocals make this album sound like nothing else in the genre. If you search for lost imagination in fine electronic music, buy this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Groove Sampler, 27 Jan 2008

This album is a selection of feel-good, upbeat electro grooves which range from slightly naff to jaw-droppingly funky. It IS greater than the sum of its parts providing you don't mind something that chops and changes every 2 or 3 minutes, as few of the ideas get particularly developed (even though many of them certainly have the potential for it).
