Membrilo is always on our table with cheese and some other dishes and to buy in the UK in small quantities is quite expensive,
however it freezes very well and we take a 1.3kg lump cut it into convenient pieces put one in the fridge ,wrap the rest in cling film and put these in the original container in the freezer and take it out piece by piece. When you get down to the last one - reorder
This way you get it at nearly price, almost the same price as the Spanish pay for this top quality product which should not be compared with the cheaper brands normally purchased by tourists.
