5.0 out of 5 stars great solution to a minor problem!
I bought these because my sata ports sat right in the way of my second graphics card (Asus P5Q Pro - Q9550@4Ghz) I dont know what the hell what Asus were thinkin while making the board but that there is a bad design flaw - especially when graphics cards these days are so big.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, but short
I have a full size tower and the lead from my DVD drive to the motherboard needed replacing.
Thinking money rather than anything else I ordered 2 of these (1 spare).
Unfortunately they were too short for how my tower was configured. Had to move my HDDs and DVD around to make the link. I will be moving them back again as they are now in the way of the airflow...

This review is from: 45cm SATA II (Serial ATA 2) Cable (3Gb/s) ~ Straight to Right Angle ~ Latching Lock (Lead cannot become loose disconnect) ~ Male to Male (M-M)

bought 4 of these cables and they all worked like a charm. my second graphics card can just slot right in and not have to be forced in as I use the angled ends to plug into the motherboard. good solution to a small problem. so dont risk damaging your mainboard and graphics card by forcing it all in - grab some of these cables an it will all be gravy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Works just fine!, 25 Dec. 2012

This review is from: 45cm SATA II (Serial ATA 2) Cable (3Gb/s) ~ Straight to Right Angle ~ Latching Lock (Lead cannot become loose disconnect) ~ Male to Male (M-M)
In the world of SATA (Serial ATA) drive cables you can spend a fortune and not notice the difference - they all perform the same task of transferring data. Some may look prettier - but it doesn't really matter as the cable is going to spend it's life inside the PC case.

This cable in particular has a right angle at one end and a latching lock. I have an issue with the latching lock though, as I had trouble disconnecting the cable at first - it wouldn't come off the SATA connector - you have to press the lock in the right way to disconnect, and apply a bit of force and this definitely was a bit of a hassle.

The right angle, however, is great is you need to connect it in a tight spot - for example if there is little space between your hard drive and your graphics card. But if you have plenty of space a straight connector might be easier to handle - especially if you don't have hobbit-sized hands ...

The cable is expensive compared to many SATA cables but seems very well made - locks firmly into place and cannot be removed without disengaing the clip. Performance wise it works as well as the next SATA cable. So five stars then.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just right for the job, 6 Jan. 2011
This review is from: 45cm SATA II (Serial ATA 2) Cable (3Gb/s) ~ Straight to Right Angle ~ Latching Lock (Lead cannot become loose disconnect) ~ Male to Male (M-M)
My existing SATA cable got damaged as it was one of the straight cables, and kept coming loose. This cable angles downwards from my horizontally mounted HDD and the clip ensures no loose connections anymore.

This review is from: 45cm SATA II (Serial ATA 2) Cable (3Gb/s) ~ Straight to Right Angle ~ Latching Lock (Lead cannot become loose disconnect) ~ Male to Male (M-M)
This is a usuful little cable - especially if you find the one you currently use pushes against the side of your computer case. There's not much else I can say. It does exactly what you might expect!

It works well, the connection is sturdy and the price reasonable.

It's worth noting that there is no difference between a 'SATA II' and a 'SATA III' cable (providing both are of decent quality, such as this one)- cables are labeled 'SATA III' entirely for marketing purposes.

To quote the official SATA3 documentation ([...]
'Changes to the protocol itself are minor, and the physical connectors and cables remain unchanged.'
So it does not matter whether you choose a cable labeled 'SATA2' or 'SATA3'- the cables are exactly the same- please don't be fooled into paying more for a meaningless label. This "SATA II" cable should suit everyone.

If you have any concerns about the length, order a longer version. 45cm is short and by the time you route it around other components, ensure there are no kinks etc, your working length is significantly shorter.

I've spent a lot more money on SATA cables but this one is really good. "Snaps" into place really well and just gives a solid connection.
