I've found many of the SAP books to be of limited value; they tend to concentrate on high level overviews with only very limited information on how to actually accomplish anything. So it was a pleasant surprise to find a book that was of some use.

This book concentrates on the Sales & Distribution function within SAP; it provides some good background on the normal processes within the product and gives some useful details on how to carry out the configuration changes to set the system up in the way that you might find of the most value.

Our project team members from that functional module have found it to provide some very useful information, and it has highlighted a number of areas where things were not done the best way during our product implementation. Using the book, we have identified where and how we should make the necessary changes to get the system working in the best way for us.

This is not something to be used by the end users; but would be of some value to those that have been charged with making the system actually work, whether it be a first implementation, an upgrade from an earlier version or just a check to make sure that things are being done in the best way.
