Unlike Drakes debut, Giggs hasnt forgotten his fans, and the sound that made him famous. Mixtape 'Walk In Da Park' set the tone, but Let Em Ave It proves the UK finally has a rap star to rival the best, with a sound thats hard and uncompromising. Theres not a bad track, but standouts include 'Loves Still There','Hustle On' & 'Up Up And Away'. Single 'Look What The Cat Dragged In' is also ruthless. Absolutely essential for anyone with even a passing interest in the scene. Jeez!

Every artist has their own style. This applies to Giggs as it does anyone. So if you haven't heard Giggs before, then have a listen before you buy his album. It's common sense.

So Giggs is different because his 'rapping' is slow, his voice is deep and gruff, basically he does not conform to how grime or rap is usually delivered, vocally speaking. For me, that is a good thing. I enjoy the way he raps slowly on all his tracks - it's his trademark, so expect it.

As far as the music is concerned, some tracks just stand out as very strong rhythms. "Bus Commercial" - you can feel the anger. "Look What The Cat Dragged In" - a funky, urban, clubbing beat. It's clear there is diversity in his album, but thankfully this album has some very impressive songs that - importantly - you want to hear again and again. So many beats these days are boring, same old drum, hi hat and simple background. Same voices. Same middle to fast rapping. Giggs makes grime different just as Eminem has made rap different. Giggs has his own style. Get used to it.

This cd has some very good beats and some good singers featuring on it. Giggs sounds like he usually does which is good then some tracks where the beat wasn't my cup of tea I got bored. Still it bumps in your car tho.
