The handles smoke on gas burners.
on 5 December 2014
Used this diffuser twice, and it set the fire alarms off the second time.
The purpose of this device is to disperse the heat of the fire or element that
is warming the pot or tagine above it. Unfortunately this means that the diffuser
gets hot and cooks (or burns) the wooden handle,- hence the smoke alarm going
off. The construction of this diffuser is thin tin-plate which isn't very good and rapidly
transmits heat to the handle which then burns and turns into charcoal. It does however
diffuse the heat.
