You feel as if you are there. What a testament to the British soldier on the ground.

The balls this JTAC had and the pilots who supported them are legendary.

As for the boneheads and their crazy rules of engagement they should be fired.

I have read many books about war and different conflicts and this book is fascinating, I couldn't put it down. Thrilling, funny with great description. A real in-site into the job if a JTAC

5 stars full of action and I could not put the book down. I am not a big reader and normally take my time reading books, this book was completed within 3days. Top book highly recommended!

Excellent book... detailed information from front line action on the non-stop close quarter battles in Helmand battle fields.. found it very difficult to put down.

Being such an intensely detailed job as a JTAC, this book is written both in a detailed way to get you to fully understand his role, but simply explained enough to make it an enjoyable read.
If you like books like Sniper One and Ed Macys Apache, you'll love this just as much.

Brilliant book couldn't put it down shows what day to day life as a hard in Afganistan is like.buy it .

Action packed from beginning to end, you feel you are in the battle with the soldiers, Bommer sounds like a top guy and proved he certainly is.

Although there are spelling mistakes (PB was spelt as PS and PH at times, CVR(T) and SupFAC also) it's an OK read. I would have probably enjoyed it more if I wasn't a FAC myself as at times it made us sound a bit chippy from all the swearing on the net, but then again it is a story telling book as opposed to a misrep/pxr.

All in though, it sounded like a tasty tour...nothing like the restrictions placed in theatre these days!

I took this book on holiday and kept putting it down to make it last longer!
The detail and technical insight were fantastic.
I hope the auther grow's rich ftom it as what he did he deserv's it
