5.0 out of 5 stars You have to have this DVD
There is very little footage of Albert King but this really makes up for it, include Stevie Ray Vaughan as well and it is a must have DVD. This is taken from a 1983 Canadian sound stage `In Session' TV series. What you really get is a jam session with Stevie and Albert really enjoying themselves. It is very interesting to see Stevie without Double Trouble's backing. The...

3.0 out of 5 stars ok
Yes one for the avid fans only, entertaining if not just for the fact that Stevie has to hold himself back from blowing poor old Albert of the stage.

I would recomend this DVD to all SRV & AK fans creat intimate session with totally relaxed banter that shows just how fond Albert King became of Stevie Ray Vaughan almost a father figure, excellent viewing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great music, but., 20 July 2013

The music on this DVD is really 5 star but Albert King is so bloody condescending towards Stevie Ray Vaughan. Don`t get me wrong , King`s voice and his playing are good but he know`s Stevie can burn him on the guitar and some of his comments look to put Stevie down. This gets even more annoying when you know that as Stevie`s fame grew that every time Albert King saw him he was always asking him for money and reminding him of how he ,King, helped Stevie get to where he was which was bulls**t. Stevie did use King`s lick`s , that`s very obvious but Stevie would have made it with or without them. King`s comments to Stevie just before Pride and Joy are the most condescending , totally uncalled for and really show what fragile ego King had faced with real talent. Enjoy the music it`s brilliant but for me King spoilt it.

Not many guitar players would have wanted to stand, head to head, with Stevie and play lick for lick. Albert King does it on this DVD and loves it - don't know who blinked first. Who cares? Some great blues guitar playing on this disc - don't miss it.
