Purchased 2 of these boards for various builds and as Usual they are the High quality reasonably priced motherboards that you now come to expect from Asus..They have everything on it apart from ( Crossfire and Sli ) that you will need for the next few years....Sata 6 and USB3 ,which is obviously backward compatible with USB 2-1 and SATA 1-2....It has 6 SATA ports 4 of which you can set storage configuarations seperately to ports 5 and 6 in the bios which is good because I would recommend it ( As the motherboard manual states also )Installing your DVD burner on sata 5 or 6 and making sure you select IDE in the config storage menu in the bios so you can boot from dvd and install OS and setting AHCI for SATA ports 1-4 in the config storage menu in bios so your hard drive takes advantage of NCQ and hot swapping Esata .... AHCI settings obviously have more effect on your SSD drive than they do on your old mechanical 7200rpm or 10000rpm hard drive . I have tried both IDE and AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface ) with mechanical drives and the speed difference is negligeable according to windows 7 experience index 64bit ( and my experience )..So I do not think it is all that critical to enable AHCI when setting up these motherboards if you are using standard sata mechanical drives..The Q connectors that Asus supply make connecting up the front casing connectors a doddle and its about time other manufacturers did the same. All the motherboard power supply connections are nicely laid out and there were absolutely no problems in connecting and setting up this motherboard..Also comes with a IDE cable and 1 SATA 6 cable and 2 SATA 2 cables which is a bonus .There is also a further 3 USB connectons on the motherboard that will give you a further 6 USB 2 Ports wth a suitable backplate..As usual comes with the Express Gate if you want it but having tried it for a few weeks soon becomes a bit annoying as it does slow down the boot process and unless you have a real need for this is a bit of a gimmick you can well do with out..Never the less this is a great board at a great price and I would have no hesitation in recommending this even if it was your first PC build...

Good Value for money - recommend motherboard for gaming and high performance stuffs.
Motherboard equipped with 6 SATA 6GB/s which is a major + for high speed data transfer
Very happy with the purchase - recommended

So this is a nice AM3 motherboard at a good price, with nice bios facilities, USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0, running my 6 core 1055T substantially overclocked with stock fan. At this price it is as future-proof as i like to go, relying on the USB and SATA being worth the 10/15 quid i could have saved by going cheaper, and i think that is a safe bet. There are plenty of utilities and features, but just for the main uses, it is great.
