This rattle is just lovely. Easy to hold for little hands, eye-catching black and white design, soft to touch, two different designs and textures back and front, little ribbons for the mane and tail, a quirky face and a gentle, non-offensive rattling sound when shaken. What more could you want? Such a nice change from hard and loud plastic rattles. My little boy was interested in this from the start and aside from the reasons above, I believe it was because of its simplicity and ease of use, which cannot be said of all Lamaze toys, lovely and good-quality as they are. At 6 months he still loves to hold and shake it and now teeth are coming through this has proved to be nice to chew on as well! Perfect!

I would definitely recommend this toy to all new parents. The bright colours and the sound make it very attractive for babies. This was the first toy (out of the far too many we bought!) my son really liked and interacted with, and kept him amused for ages at times.

Fantastic product at a good price. This has become my sons favourite toy. Excellent quality and I would definitely recommend it to others to buy.

bigger than I was expecting. Good colours - my bub loves anything black and white. Narrow handle so good for young babies to grip onto. Wipes clean easily.

looks lovely, but developed a hole and the stuffing started coming out after only a few light uses. very disappointing quality for this usually good brand. I emailed the seller about it and heard nothing back. very disappointing all in all.

As rattles go, this is a nice one. I'd say it's sized about right for an average 3-month old - little fingers can wrap round the "handle" and it's light enough that they can shake it about. Even better, the entire rattle if soft fabric, so when the inevitable "bashing of myself in the face" happens, it doesn't hurt.

The pattern is great - black and white stripes with red are just the ticket for catching a young baby's attention and our little one loves to chew on the red ribbons that make up the mane and tail, all of which are short enough not to be a choking concern.

If there was one disappointment, it's that the rattle isn't as loud as the pattern - plastic beads in a plastic case are muffled by the plush exterior and give a muted rattle at best. That said, when there's no other noise, baby can hear the noise they're making and will likely give it a few more shakes.

It's well made, with excellent fabric choice and sturdy looking stitching. It's already survived one trip through the washing machine (which the label advises against), after which it was drip-dried and it looks no worse for wear.

As rattles go it's not the cheapest, but it's very well made and very carefully considered. Well worth the money and highly recommended.

Best rattle that we have as it is smallish and easy to hold. Its not a teething toy so not sure why people reviewing it thought it would be.

This is a lovely rattle for a young baby. Our son used it lots until he was around 6 months old. It's easy for baby to get hold of, and because its soft they won't hurt themselves when they inevitably hit themselves on the head with it. Washes well too!

Bought this for my little Grandaughter ,was looking for an activity arch at the time ,when this popped up!!it iterested me and when I started reading the reviews ,thought yeh, I,d give it a try as my grandaughter was only 3months at the time and could.nt hold much!!Well I am so glad I did ,because she loves it!It is really good ,because alot of rattles you find, have got thick carry handles that babies have problems grabbing ,where as, this one is thin and she can get her little tiny fingers around the handle, she also loves to suck it! The colours are very bright too, her little eyes practically popped out when we first gave it to her!!Because my grandaughter, loves this little rattle so much(called Z), we have now bought her a big Zebra!Well worth every Penny!!!

I love Lamaze so ordered this thinking it'll be great for my newest son. It's really cute but sadly poorly made as all the stitching has come apart.
