5.0 out of 5 stars The tracks of my years
I admire Ken Bruce as a broadcaster, listening to his radio show each day. Very interesting book. Satisfied with my choice.

listening to ken bruce every morning on the radio i was very pleased to find his autobiography. I unfortunatley found it muddly and jumping back and forth on his working life which i found confusing! i am glad i have read it and would recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars a bit dull and guarded, 28 Mar 2014
This review is from: The Tracks of My Years: The autobiography (Kindle Edition)
I had just finished reading the second of the books by Chris Evans (sad person that I am but they are very entertaining!) and wanted to find out a bit more about Mr Bruce as I'd been listening to him for years but realised I hardly knew anything at all- even the basics such as age, background etc.

I now know what he chose to tell which I suspect is only the half of it. He seems to have a self deprecating sense of humour on radio but this is not all that apparent in this somewhat worthy tome It tells you all the basics but does not delve too far into what he really thinks or feels so it is ultimately unsatisfying - a pity- would have been better if he had taken just a few more risks

Entertaining. Well written.Very modest ; doesn't "big" himself. He's very self-deprecating and often stresses the fact that he's merely a jobbing broadcaster.

A moral man with a wonderfully dry sense of humour - thank God there are still some of them left! Bring it on Ken!
