The recordings on this disc ARE THE SAME IN ALMOST EVERY RESPECT to the CD Billy Cotton: Waakeey Wakee! on "Going for a Song" GFS558
I don't know what the original source was but it's evidently Public Domain. There are a number of medleys on these discs, featuring the Billy Cotton Band from the Bandshow days with Kathy Kay and Alan Breeze - if you like light entertainment to sing along with in the car (to embarrass the kids if you like) this disc will do admirably. Smooth singing and one of the greatest bands ever to cheer up a Sixties Sunday afternoon. There are no announcements, just music ... possibly a sixties LP release?

Was it really so long ago? The Old Man died in '69 but he's well in evidence here with those well-remembered vocals that bring a tear to my eye....
This "Fat Boy" disc CD153 has not been CEDARed from the sound of it (hence 3 stars) as GFS558 has been, the sound on the other disc is brighter - something to consider when choosing, but hey, at the end of the day it's your choice. The disc is good fun.
