It was good. I need to write thirteen more words. Oh good, only seven now. And now three. All done.

Amazingly funny if not a bit cringey. I love it!! Just as funny as the films and just as in depth.

After having read Bridget Jone's Diary I could not wait for the Edge of Reason. It is good to know she still is a real person... It could be me but I do recognize a lot of what is going on in her life. Sometimes things happen to be on the edge of reason. Like: is this really happening or am I starring in some movie. Although I must admit, Bridget seems to get into even weirder situations than I do. I loved the interview with Colin Firth and even more the way she reacted to it. Most of all I like the way Helen Fielding writes. The events and people appear lividly before your eyes, I can just see these books being made into a tv-series. I would not like that though. I agree the end is a bit... I am lost for words... Maybe in the next book we will find out it was just a dream she had. I can't wait to find out!

Well done Helen Fielding! Have read almost the entire book over the weekend and love it as much as the first one! Bridget Jones is much wittier, funnier and more positive than "Cause Celeb" by the same author (read that if you consider H. Fielding's writing too lithe..). For those complaining about the BJ concept, you don't understand the idea it seems. Reading Bridget Jones' diaries is like reading 'Cosmopolitan', Marie Claire or watching 'Ally McBeal' on TV; it is light entertainment! Also; you ARE supposed to think she's mad. And in comparison isn't it great to know that even when you feel like a total loser BJ will always be worse?! Ligthen up, Helen Fielding is the greatest in her genre; still the unrivalled queen!

I really enjoyed the first Bridget Jones, but this one didn't even come close. By the end of the book, far from identifying with her, I wanted to strangle Bridget she was so irritating! One of the most ridiculous bits was the description of her incarceration in a Thai jail. That and the frankly embarrassing interview with Colin Firth which made you cringe at the thought that someone could be so inept and generally pathetic. The only book of a similar genre which has irritated me MORE was Arabella Weir's 'Does my bum look big in this'. Definitely not worth the effort!
