This was a present for my 10 year old son. He had already read "Point Blanc" at school and was 'hooked'! He used to read when very little but had kind of lost interest recently. However these books had him lost in his imaginative world of reading for hours! Took the books with on holiday and he happily read away whilst the grown ups caught up with newspapers ( and other boring things like that!) Would definiteley recommend to boys 10 years and up (with a good reading ability).

The Alex Rider series consists of; Stormbreaker, Point Blanc, Skeleton Key, Eagle Strike, Scorpia, Ark Angel, Snakehead, Crocodile Tears, and Scorpia Rising. The Alex Rider books are action-packed adventures. The series starts when Alex's uncle is mysteriously killed in a 'car accident'. Alex is pulled into his first mission as a spy-and it just gets better as the series progresses. My personal favorites are; crocodile tears- Alex gets caught up in a mysterious 'charity incident', and Scorpia Rising-the last book of the series. I think the Alex Rider books are perfect for the 9+ range. 10/10!!!

As a Specialist teacher, I am well aware that encouraging boys to read is something that needs that extra little bit of focus. When my grandson mentioned that he'd had one of these books read to the class at school and had really enjoyed it, it was the only hint I needed to order the full set for his 11th birthday. Suddenly, he has gone back to reading at bedtime and the TV has gone off, perfect!

Absolutely fantastic value. All nine books brand new, and in perfect conditon. Cannot praise highly enough for the value for money.

The order arrived with one book missing and one title with a different cover than all the others. The book was also larger. After contact with the seller they did still send me the missing book. The other book turned out not to be available with the cover as pictured on the site. I had to order this separately and pay extra for it. Not as happy as I had hoped with this order.

excellent, thats the one word review summed up, but in all honesty these are fantastic books, in fact i read the first 6 (they were the only oens available at the time ) in a week as i couldn;t put them down and purchased teh remaining ones on day of release, far better than the bond books (the novels re very dated) and more in theme with the bond movies full of classic gadgets, megalomaniac villains and "rider" girls complete with double meaning names (although pc of course being written primarily with teenagers in mind) don't let the terrible movie of stormbreaker (inexplicably written by horowitz as well) put you off, this set is great and although there may be a few duds, (point blanc and snakehead spring to mind) the quality of the others more than makes up for this (although admittedly i am yet to read scorpia rising) and they all have some great action scenes, my favourite being the bike chase through amsterdam (forget teh book actually but think its scorpia) or the whole of ark angel which has the best villain. this is also a great price so well worth buying , (iF I didn't already own them all i would have donE so myself)

Purchased for my 11yr old son who has read them back to back and enjoyed them immensely.

Great product bought for my nephew, he simply loves these books by a great author who also writes good adult fiction.

Fantastic set, great value for The Alex Ryder Fan. Not read them yet but have no doubt they will be up to standard

Got this for my nephews at christmas they loved it. Great value for money as its a box set. I think it came in at less than half the RRP
