I want to be able to give this a good review as the design is nice, it's easy to use, has several play options (duration/style/volume), it attaches easily to the cot, the projection is pretty clear, remote control is useful, the motor noise is unobtrusive and the sounds/melodies are very extensive and play clearly...

But - we have owned 2 of these and both have failed after a week's light use (an hour in the morning, an hour in the afternoon). The projector has no problems, but the audio track skips back to the start (where the voice says "sweet dreams") and gets stuck looping "sweet dreams... sweet dreams... sweet dreams... sweet dreams" - not very soothing!

We won't be bothering to replace it now, we'll try another product.

I was reluctant to give it the one star, as it is a well thought out and designed product, which our baby loves, but with such a serious flaw occuring twice it really seemed the only option - sorry VTech.

A great product from V Tech which incidentally comes with a two year warranty from V Tech. The warranty excludes breakages to the LCD screen but covers faulty materials, defects or bad workmanship (subject to examination) of the product at their returns facility. A warranty card is enclosed within the packaging of the manufacturers box with the full details. Our little baby boy loves the Sleepy Bear Sweet Dreams with it's soothing melodies. The seashore sound would even put an adult to sleep. The unit attaches to the side of the cot or can stand alone for toddlers. A remote control is included in the box contents which is very useful. We are delighted with our Sleep Bear Sweet Dreams and we could not recommend it more for parents. Our baby is asleep in 5-10 minutes after the melodies are switched on.

We would have to disagree with the previous reviews which do not give the item the high praise it truely deserves. Well done to Amazon.co.uk again for a very efficient delivery and good packaging.

This is a fantastic item, if it stayed working! This is the second one i've bought that has broken within 24 hours. The projector stops working then the music ends up skipping and the lights stop working. My son absolutely loved this and it's such a shame that they end up being defective. No fault of the seller but clearly v-tech need to recall this product as I can see i'm not the only one that has had this issue.

Worked fine for 12 months then made a terrible sound when turned on. Very annoyed you can't contact anyone to complain

Not a miracle working. My baby doesn't even like it. Definetly does not help him sleep. It's like Blackpool illuminations when the lights come on!

The motor is not very good. Had two and both are broken. Very disappointed. Now my five month grandson is finding it difficult to get to sleep

Great idea, great colours and sounds. The only bad points are the straps. They slide off and won't hold the toy attached to the cot. I instead am using strings. The other thnig is the picture projected on the ceiling is way to fast to let the child fall asleep or relax. Child is following it and gets extited. Not sure if is good for baby's eyes. And last thing is the music, too loud even on the lowest setting. A liitle improvment the it will be very nice and handy to set babies off to sleep.

My one year old son loves it! We bought this product when he was born, but did not use it much. I found it a week ago when my husband and I decided to stop night feeding completely. When our son wake up the first time music started to play and he went asleep without a breast and a cadle! We did not even go to his room! It's a second night and again the same happen) I am so happy I bought it as it really works.

I can not recommend this enough. 3 length of play times, remote control, moving ceiling projector, cot light show, lullaby & nature sounds. What more could you need. Although ours now makes a grating noise, if the lights are on & the bear moves, (my daughter used to stand & spin around on it when it was no longer attached to her cot) it still works brilliantly 3 years on :)
