I previously purchased a similar silicone splatter guard which tore after just a couple of months so I was a little apprehensive about buying this one. BUT - I am really pleased I did!

1) as a splatter guard: the material is much thicker than any similar silicone products I've seen. Its really sturdy mainly due to the thick wire frame. Having two handles is useful for safe removal too (tip: make sure you lift the side furthest away from you first as it does trap some steam which is released when you remove it).

2) it is so much more than a splatter guard! I have used it as a pan stand to save my bench and due to the size, it fits all of my pans without hassle!

3) as a baking tray it is great too - I used it to cook a pizza and because of the wire frame it is much more sturdy than other silicone bakeware so I could use it without needing a metal tray underneath.

4) cleaning: as with all silicone cookware, it is extremely easy to clean - no scrubbing needed, just pop it in the bowl after washing up and give it a wipe.

If you've used other silicone splatter guards: please note that the quality of this one is so much superior!
If you've previously used metal splatter guards: yes, it may trap more steam than metal guards but the benefits of how easy to clean and how versitile it is completely out-weigh this in my opinion.

...and lastly, with a 10 year guarentee you know that the manufacture is obviously confident of its quality!

This works ok but, to be picky, it traps too much steam inside the pan, which can make some things a bit moist which you wanted to be dry and crispy (eg bacon). They need to re-design it with better ventillation. Still, it's better than cleaning up all the splatter off the hob! Beware when using gas not to let the flame creep up the side of the pan as you will burn the Splatterguard.

First the product. - I have used splatter covers before but never had a silicone one. The first I had was metal mesh , didn't wok as well as I had hoped. The next was a heavier metal but it had a proper & long handle. Everyone knows their kitchen is too small , or too full and that was difficult to store. The next was heavier metal again with a D handle on top. Much better but eventually the non-stick surface was coming off resulting from hundreds of uses/washes.

This is by far the best the handles are easy to access, it is easy to store, it is very effective (cleaning the hob much easier and quicker job now) and it is easy to wash every time.

Perfect.

As far as purchase from this supplier. I cannot fault them. Timely delivery, well wrapped. Exactly what you want.

I bought this Silicone Splatter Guard/ Baking Tray to use as a protective cover for a counter top free standing induction hob. I don't know how good it is as a baking tray, but as a protective cover it is excellent. The surface of my hob, when it is not in use as a cooking area, is well covered and acts as an extra large stand for hot saucepans and baking dishes. The cover is easy to clean and rolls up in the corner of a drawer when not in use; it is a most efficient and versatile kitchen aid.
PS: My neighbour tells me it is in fact also an excellent splatter guard and baking tray.

Bought this as part of a choice of two different guards for my son and his fiancee along with another splatter guard. They wanted both and use this one for inside the oven. Absolutely delighted with it.

This splatter guard is great much better than the metal ones to use and clean. Use it on my wok you have to be carefull if you use it on a small pan if it overhangs that you do not have the heat to high.

I brought this as previous metal one was broken and a little differcult to clean - yes it is more expensive but it is so much better. Only slight negative is although it has many small holes in it I wonder about the higher moisture level as more collects on the underside when cooking. Having said that there has been no adverse effects on output of cooking so all good.
