5.0 out of 5 stars Best Since Free All Angels,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1: +DVD (Audio CD)Don't often write reviews, but how could I not tell you that I think this is one of the best albums I've heard in years. And since no one has reviewed yet I can only assume they're busy, trapped, listening to this on repeat. I'm listening to it whilst reviewing it ;-) It's caught me this one, I can't stop playing it. To me it has the same magic appeal Free All Angels had all those years ago (and 1977 - and now I feel bad for not mentioning Meltdown which had the same effect on me). Really uplifting bounce-around-your head summery tunes, with Ash's unique style. I hope Ash keep knocking out tunes like these forever - I don't know why but I feel sort of nostalgic when I hear them. Anyway, well done and thanks guys once again for yet another masterpiece, and a DIY job too! You've kept me quite a cheery fella for 15 years now..

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1: +DVD (Audio CD)Fantastic stuff. Their recent form had been a bit variable and I initially missed the first releases in the Alphabet series (which are being published every other week throughout the year), picking up only at Space Shot. Within this collection of the first half of the alphabet series stand outs are Space Shot, Arcadia, Command, Neon, Dionysian Urge...hang on, this is turning into rather a long list.
In my opinion there's only really one clunker here so if you're a fan of Ash buy it now and if you're not a fan yet buy it now and be converted.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unmissable. One of the greatest albums ever.,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1: +DVD (Audio CD)I've been downloading these singles as they've been released. They're incredibly good. Dionysian Urge, Pripyat, Tracers, True Love 1980 are as good as anything they've ever done before.Joy Kicks Darkness is simply one of the best songs ever. If you aren't downloading these individually as they're released you have to buy this compilation-it's unmissable. I can't wait to hear the next 13 songs in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ash A-Z ... Start to Finish is mesmerising,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1: +DVD (Audio CD)What can I say. Ash have risen from the ashes!
Yes I subscribed to the digital download so I was there from the beginning. Every tune is worthy of being a classic anthem and the well matched lyrics just have to be listened to. How the much underrated Tim Wheeler (in the main) has produced quality in such sheer volume is unbelievable.
I have had to buy two copies of both Vol 1 and Vol 2 as I have two cars and cannot bear to be without my A-Z Ash fix when driving!
I never thought Ash were going to be able to quite live up to 1977, even though they've produced some great stuff over the years, and when the fabulous Twilight Of The Innocents wasn't the resounding success it deserved to be I feared that they may call it a day but this has done it - Ash are well and truly back. It's just a shame that the download concept has meant missing out on the major radio playlists and wider coverage that A-Z so deserves.
What next? Can't wait.
5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible,
5.0 out of 5 stars The best thing Ash have ever ever done!,
I waited until the songs were compiled on A-Z vol.1 before I downloaded them and I was blown away by the beauty and scope of the collection.
I've always followed Ash but now I have massive respect for them. A-Z vol.1 is stunning and A-Z vol.2 is nearly as good (no mean feat!). Highlights are many but I'll point you in the direction of Dionysian Urge as a great example of the energy and melody on display here.
5.0 out of 5 stars Ridiculous,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1: +DVD (Audio CD)Like Mark above, also don't usually write reviews but I've had this album for 6 months now and still can't get enough of it. Band grown up well since the classic 1977 - Ctrl-Alt-Del, Dionysian Urge and Arcadia are my recommended listen out for's... but then I listen to Space Shot and Dead Disciples and it all changes. Really hope the next one next month keeps pushing the awesome tunes
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1 (MP3 Download)If you liked Ash for their 1977 album you will love this. If you've never heard Ash before you will love this. In fact everyone should love this, it is awesome! I first started liking Ash back in 1998. This album in places is a lot mellower and slightly different to their rockier earlier stuff, however it absolutely rocks in its own way with some fantastically catchy tunes, which is what Ash do best. Do yourselves a favour and buy one of the best albums from recent years, then buy their back catalogue (which is all amazing), then go and see them live... You will not regret it!
5.0 out of 5 stars amazing,
This review is from: A-Z Vol.1: +DVD (Audio CD)Buy This Now!!
Just a fantastic collection of songs - really high quality throughout. It's amazing that so many people seem to overlook Ash and just jump on the KOL/Coldplay or whoevers bandwagon. No album fillers here. This is upbeat, melodic, feelgood music and i can't wait for Vol 2 which is gonna be just as good. A must have.
5.0 out of 5 stars Make no mistake...,
Waiting eagerly for Vol-2 (Q-BINARY)!!!
15 years of being a follower but now I'm a devoted fan.
