Owning a little Lowepro bag for my Olympus E-620 + ZD 12-60mm lens, I was in need of something bigger to make room to the ZD 40-150mm and OM 50mm lenses as well as the grip (always on the camera now), a flash... and other things. Having seen this backpack on Amazon at a good price I didn't doubt much to buy it.
First, its construction is really good, a tough bag with its rain cover just in case: this is important! It is not that much padded in the bottom but I have found it to be alright in this respect too. Easy to carry and use even if you "unexpectedly" have to take your camera out of it quickly.
Another important thing to know is that it's not the kind of backpack that makes you sweat (I've first used it in Cuba, so trust me), being very comfortable to carry. Any weight you put into it will make you suffer however (gravity will still be at work), so it is a good idea to unload it a little when you're not just transporting your gear from A to B.
Its various positions may help in different situations, but I find the "traditional" one to be the best.
Perfect in measures as hand baggage on planes. Slightly below 5 Kg. fully loaded with the abovementioned gear plus sunglasses and some filters, cables, a compact camera, batteries etc.
All in all, go for it if you need a great, capable backpack for your beloved camera.

I saw this bag on another site but found it cheaper on here.

When I received it I thought it looked alittle small but I was so gladly wrong.

In the bag I can get my DSLR with a battery grib on it, Sigma 10-50mm, Sigma 70-300mm, Canon 50mm, flashgun, Remote, Battery's and so on......

Ive still got room in the top of the bag.

The straps are great. You can carry the bag in anumber of ways which is good and ive been on along walk with it now and feels very comfortable.

This bag does take a Tripod too, ONLY if you buy a Kata ZZ-STH-3N1 Tripod Holder which I also got from Amazon and still not used it yet so I cant comment on that.

10 out of 10 for this bag. Wish I got it sooner.

Delivered quickly and the quality is excellent and a great price.
I sent it back just because it turned out to be too narrow for me. I could not get my Nikon with a 70-200mm f2.8 attached in the side access, as backpack is not quite wide enough. Does cope with the 24-70 f2.8 though. Pity, as I like the bag but I use the 70-200 so often it didn't seem sensible to keep it, so got a bigger one.
Hence the 4 stars but otherwise would give it 5.

I Bought this bag as i had just aquired a new lens so my shoulder bag was no longer big enough for the job. I had previously owned a Kata bag and since owning other makes of bag i knew this brand stood out from the competition. The quality if superb with strong plastic clips, well made zips and a nice feel to straps etc.

The styling is also spot on, with just a hint of green accents here and there and the yellow inside the bag is both practical and pleasing on the eye. Even with cramming in fantastic functionality, Kata have still managed to produce a very nice looking bag.

The functionality of this bag is where is really wins against other similar bags, I have my Pentax K5, 35mm lens, 75-300 lens, chargers and a nikon s8000 compact stored in the main compartments with still room for a flash. The ingeneous design of this bag means that my K5 can be accessed from unzipping one side, my s8000 accessed from the other side or unzip the whole main compartment to get to everything. This still leaves the seperate top section for sandwiches etc and smaller side pouches for lens caps and the included waterproof cover. The straps can be arranged so the bag can be worn as a sling bag, backpack or just carried by hand.

All in all a great purchase made all the better by the unbeatable price i managed to get it for on Amazon.
Great quality, functionality and stylish coupled with fantastic value. Highly recommended

I bought this on sale - December Christmas sale - the price was very good.
It is basic model but fitting very well my camera with tele and other photo tools.
I has as well small space to pack sandwiches, water, mobile etc. - at the top.
I think it is perfect for me and for what I'm doing. Actually I think it is best to watch the youtube.com review for that product - so you know what you are getting.

From my side - I can confirm that this is good basic model for camera carrying with 300mm tele.

Once you get over your initial setup and learn where you have stored everything this is a brilliant bag for a SLR camera and kit, surprisingly capacious and has been robust and good protection. Not used the attached rain cover so can't vouch for it, thought it was nice that it was included though.
This holds my Nikon, 2 additional lenses, flash, charger, filters, USB leads etc. Plus a compact camera & charger, spotting binoculars, some cleaning items and small manuals. Doesn't take the tripod but what can you expect for the size and price. Bought this during the annual sale X 2, 1 for my partner as well, but I'm fairly certain I'd pay full price if I had to replace it.

well i got this to carry and store some of my gear, and i'm not dissapointed.

I have purchased it for my Nikon D7100 plus lenses (5) (35mm, 18-55, 18-70, 18-200 and my 70-300), all fit well and padded nicely and thats just in the bottom compartment.
Side pocets holding cleaning equipment and rain cover, with still more room.
Top compartment there is room for a 3 flashguns, memory card and spare battery
i have not had chance to carry it long distances and would'nt trail all lenses and flash, just giving you an idea on capacity.
It does have the abilty to change from sling type back to full on rucksack with adjustable strapping system.

Plenty of room for my camera, three lenses, multiple filters, remotes, batteries and cf cards; the dividers organise the equipment neatly so everything is at hand when needed. The bag features secure fastenings and the clever design allows easy extraction of your camera when you spot big foot heading to his favourite tree; without everything else falling out and startling him. Comfortable to wear and if you're expecting rain or whale bell flops the cover provided is more than adequate to protect your equipment from getting wet.

This is a great little bag, very discreet, yet enough space for camera with a lens, plus three other lenses, other bits and pieces like memory cards and a battery or so, plus enough space in the top compartment for sandwiches and a drink.

A useful feature is that you can configure the back straps in a variety of ways to suit most uses. You can access the contents through many zip up flaps, so as long as you can remember what you put where, you should be able to get straight to it.

I got this back at a bargain price in December. I can highly recommend it.
Very easy to sling across and gain access to the side compartment.
Very adaptable and customizable.
Straps are comfy and the ones which are not used can be tucked away...neat!
Only drawback is the lack of attachment point or pocket for a water bottle...but in a bag which is made to swivel across to your front it would not be easy to attach a bottle anyway.
