Seriously, this is an epic game. The graphics are beautiful, the controls are easy and the style of the game is slick, sleek and downright brilliant. I seriously reccomend this to anyone wth thiis taste in games.

Well i must say as a fan of every single Tony Hawk game released on the planet i had a slight reluctance to make the move from the Hawk series to Skate. As i didn't find the latest Tony Hawk to appealing i thought i would take the risk and try something new. All i can say is that it has certainly paid it's dividends.

The first few days took me by suprise as i didn't realise how complicated you could possible make the controls of a skateboarding game but once you get the feel for the way the game works it makes the most simple trick sequences flow and give you a great fell of accomplishment and saticefaction.
The graphic's are a marvel compaired to any previous games of this category and the replay facility allows you up loads your best trick sequences straight to youtube.

The only downside to this game i have found is that if you want to ride skate parks that other people have created and uploaded then you have to pay a little over £7 through playstation network to unlock this facility. This is however, only if you buy the game second hand as the game comes with the unlock code when brand new but each code can only be used once.

Over all if your looking for a game that gives you unlimited hours of enjoyment then this is truly a game for you!

After getting given skate 2 I was impressed by it and when I had compledted everything possible in skate 2 I was still left wanting more so I purchased skate 3 and man was it a GREAT buy. This game is really good it has new tricks and they have fixed some glitches and sorted some minor issues out to make a virtually perfect game whilst still using a extreamely innovitave control system to control the execution of tricks. One thing I have to say though is WHY IS THIS GAME A 16+ ? It really is COMPLETELY FINE for people of 12+. And finally in conclusion I have to say that this game is 100% for sure a incrediable game with hours of fun and is a definite MUST buy

I haven't played Skate 1 or 2, so I can't comment on the improvement, but this game is amazing. I got it for my 12 year old brother to try and get him to stop playing Call of Duty, and it worked!... Sort of. I think I've played on it more than he has. It's a really fun game, with many challenges to complete and you can do online challenges too.
The only thing is that it can get a bit boring after a while, unlike some other games on the market which have you hooked. Other than that, a fun game which can keep you entertained for a while!

There hasn't been a game like this since the tony hawk games, The graphics are nicely colorful, Controlling the skateboard and pulling off tricks do take some practice but once you handle it, you'll become a pro in no time. I'm not much of a skater but this game can give you a taste of what they actually do, Hall of meat challenges are pretty funny plus stuff like falling off a tall building are a little exaggerating but the games supposed to be fun and entertaining. In conclusion I highly recommend this game, No need to play the previous two, Skate 3 gives you everything!

Playing this is a great experience and a lot of fun. Well as you all know this a skateboarding game. By far the best skateboarding.

First of all this is more evolved than skate 2 with better graphics, gameplay, places and new game modes like death race (HOW COOL)and finally we can do more like create places which i really enjoyed.

Graphics 9/10 spectacular graphics

Game play 10/10 more smoother than skate 2 and more control

Overall 10/10

skate 3 is an absolute beast of a game. it offers a great simulation of skateboarding and gives you a wide choice of merchandise for your skater. not to mention the hundreds of locations all around the city where you can show off your amazing skills. as an actual skater, the phsics are really real in my opinion. online is good, and you can create your own custom parks and share them with the world. oh, and being able to do a triple backflip is a nice touch too.

Skate 3 turned out to be all it promised with it's new, huge and fun to play Port Carverton. With 3 different areas (Downtown, University and Industrial) there's plenty of different style environments too; Downtown's full of stairsets, skateparks and a multistory carpark, University being for more flatland skating (with the large exception of the Super-ultra Mega park :P) and Industrial offers numerous opportunities to go huge in the Ship yard and even bigger in the quarry!
The park editor is a nice edition too allowing you to edit and create your own parks from scratch, download and edit someone else's that they've uploaded, or upload your masterpiece.
Skate 3's big letdown is the lack of an offline party play. Social play is large part of the game with some of the story line built around it and so for me, this is the games downfall. That, and the ease of the challenges of career mode and the small amount of time that it took to complete them. Hardcore mode came as a blessing however, allowing more realistic and difficult game play experience.

This game is fun. Plain and simple. Although it can be quite daunting at first (lots of moves and the way you 'flick' the board), you will soon find yourself tricking and grinding off anything you can find.

The tutorial is the best of the series yet, with Coach Frank (My Name Is Earl's Jason Lee) guiding you through all the ways you can interact with the game. Soon after you'll be looking for your first contest and generally scooting round the city with ease.

One of the great things is the AI. Even the 'pro' skaters that you sometimes have to beat in a contest make mistakes and bail.... leaving you to pick up a winning round or two.

As the title implies, this isn't hugely different from the first 2 games but there's enough added polish to encourage a purchase (especially at £19, which I how much I paid on Amazon).

Get it, you won't regret it.
