An essential touring accessory...
on 3 July 2012
I am a biker with experience spanning over three decades, who has owned a wide range of machines from road going adventure/enduro's, sports tourers, litre sports bikes and cruisers, and toured all over the northern hemisphere.
I have used a bungee net on many journey's on countless bikes of all shapes and sizes over the years ranging from short commutes to very long tours. I have never, not once been let down by one these cargo nets, or lost luggage from them when secured properly.
Quality 4/5 - A well made product that would expect from something bearing the Oxford brand name. It stretches far more than you would imagine. Loses a mark from me though as one that I owned had an issue with part of the net fraying and I lost a hook somewhere, however the remaining 5 hooks were fine and the other nets I have owned have not had this problem, so I consider this a one off.
Fitment 5/5 - So versatile to fit to your bike using specific tie down hooks or footpegs or your luggage rack. They are so simple to use and I always pack one if I am touring, just in case it is needed to carry a bit of extra stuff along the way.
Operation 5/5 - Once fitted never had any worries, easy to attach, durable and strong, so simple.
Summary 5/5 - After using these across countless bikes from different manufacturer on a variety of trips, I was never disappointed. I used them in all weathers and experienced no problems or let downs and they proved durable. Based upon my own ownership experiences, a cargo net or bungee net is an essential touring accessory, you can buy one of these with confidence.
