Bought this little meter to check the moisture content of the concrete floor in a new build house.Had a few irregular readings when I checked the same spot twice but found that cleaning the needle points as it instucted to do on the instructions sorted this out.Contact needles have to be in contact with the surface to be tested before pressing the test button.All in all I paid £25 for this from amazon and had seen proper flooring test meters for contract use costing £175 for a basic one.I saved some money with this little gadget as I was doing the flooring myself so would recommend it highly.Bear in mind this little thing is tiny about the size of a match box.Did what I needed it to do.

i bought this moisture meter for a water leak under concrete.
it has been very useful at confirming the centre spot in the concrete.
it is very easy to use with clear readings.

A good & reliable product. The addition of an audible monitor would make it outstanding.

Don't be like me and think the coloured spots on it are led's and each one lights up to a specific moisture content range. They don't. If you want one to use in dark or gloomy conditions then get one with a display backlight instead.

This product seams to work very well, it certainly helps identify the seat of the problem. Wished I'd ordered it 2 years ago, it would have settled the arguements of whether or not the wall was damp. Ideal for the homeowner who can't justify 100's for a professional meter.

This one came all the way from Germany, very compact 75 x 40 x 15mm, 1 decimal place percentage readout and appears robust, good for checking logs, structural wood moisture content on a budget. A little more expensive than the cheapest meters around and so far would certainly recommend, proffesional meters are in the hundred plus range and our hardwood log supplier has stated his budget meter performs as well as the proffessional one.

handy little gadget only needed it for a couple of jobs.easy to use and cheap, why buy something more expensive if you dont need to .

German supplier. Works as advertised but the safety cap covering the prongs when not in use was difficult to remove and would benefit from a few grooves to facilitate gripping.

delivery excellant as usual. the meter is compact and seems to work well and at a good price.what more can you say

I bought the instrument for a newly laid screed floor to my conservatory prior to laying Wood block flooring. I only wanted a rough guide and that was what I got. The instrument does not give consistent results.
