I bought these around 2 months ago to replace a pair of cx300 II's that died after six months. I was fortunate to pick them up for a bargain 39.99 from Tesco, way below rrp, and frankly they knowck the spots off the cx300's. They come with a rather natty little solid carry case, three sizes of buds and an ear wax cleaner.

The sound quality is simply head and shoulders above the cx300's and I was delighted with the sound quality of those over the various philips, jvc and sony earphones I'd had in the past. If you're looking for masses of bass move along to something else. They have a balanced neutral sound, nice bass, clear mid and top ranges and lots of sound seperation. It's a real joy listening to music as I hear something new in everything I play.

Only downsides is the volume control is a bit plasticky and a real contrast to the really excellent build quality of the rest of the product. Do yourself a favour and invest in pair of these fine earphones.

I love these headphones. I only bought them because I lost my previous pair of CX 400...I was gutted. They survived allsorts of trauma, from getting caught, to being crushed at the bottom of my bag.
Some of the reveiews had me doubting these headphones but I took my chances and I'm so glad that I did.
They cut out the sound, even when on the tube and the sound quality is superb. I was concerned about the 'integrated volume control' getting in the way and bothering me while jogging but I'm happy to report that it is fine; it's light so you don't really feel it.
Definitely, worth it.

Bought these to replace a pair of cx300. After reading a lot of negative reviews I was slightly worried I'd made a mistake. They arrived with 3 size earbuds supplied. As I am a large bloke I immediately put the largest earbuds on. I used the earphones and thought my worst fears were confirmed. Tinny and absolutely no bass and very little volume. I was fuming and thinking of asking for my money back.
On a whim I decided to try the medium earbuds.
WOW! I could not believe the difference. LOUD, BASSY, DETAILED SOUND. Other reviews said to try all the buds to see which suited best and it is excellent advice. Believe me these are excellent earphones when you use the correct buds.
I own a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones which cost £350. I prefer these sennheisers! The sound really is on a par. The build quality is not on a par but these are a LOT cheaper. Build is fine for the price sound is superb for the price.

TRY ALL THE EARBUDS TO FIND THE ONES BEST FOR YOU AS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BUDS IS REMARKABLE!

After getting fed up with the ear pain from the uncomfortable plastic earphones that came with my mp3 player I decided to splash out on these. Never having tried ear-canal phones before I was surprised how quickly I took to them and they are really comfortable to wear and dramatically cut out external noise. Only drawback for me is the occasional noise from the cord if you happen to touch it too much.

Very good sound quality as you would expect from Sennheiser, the different buds allow for a far more comfortable fit when moving around, you know they work when your play list ends and the other commuters are hardly noticable.
The carry case is a little awkward to use the first time, but as long as you put the volume control unit in first it will keep your earphones in good order for a long time.

I bought these earphones as an alternative to my BOSE ON EAR headphones 'for when I wanted to wear a hat' or not have to carry around such massive headphones. Having never listened to a pair of in-ear earphones I wasn't expecting them to be anywhere near as good as the on ears, but safe to say, they have become my main earphones.

It takes some EQ setting to get them sounding perfect, but when they're set up correctly, they're amazing.

It's great having volume control on the wire too as I can change volume without having to take the iPod from my pocket or take my gloves off.

Plus you can wear these with a hat.

I have an eclectic taste in music that goes from classic to D&B and I'm listening to music most of the day from my SE W995 so comfort is am major factor and I've found it hard to get a set of travel friendly earphones that do justice to all my tastes but these are simply awesome! I've had mine for just over a week and the only complaint if there is any is that you can get quite a bit of noise when you knock the cable but honestly it is such a minor complaint that it shouldn't put you off. I previously owned a set of CX200 that were pretty decent and had been reliable old friends for many years but needed to replace them as I had worn them out so decided to trade up and I am glad that I did. The sound from these 880's is another level completely, the clarity and separation between channels is amazing and I'm enjoying subtle sounds that I had never heard before with my old earphones. The sound that these deliver really has to be heard.

If you want a premium set of earphone that are sublimely comfortable to wear and give awesome performance then look no further.

Decent comfortable earphones that do cut out much of the background noise. Quality is pretty good so be careful what sound source you use with them. A poor sound source wil only deliver distorted output. If you have a decent quality source then the sound is very good. Only down side is a cheap looking in line volume control which I don't really need and it only serves to lower the quality of the product and sound a little. Overall very happy with the earphones.

Good build quality.
The earplugs fit well and no sound is lost to ensure good all round sound and great bass.
Good sound reproduction on various quality of mp3s.

I have previously owned the cx300's, which I absolutely loved until their untimely death at just over 6 months. As a result of the problems associated with many of these manufacturers other in ear phones surrounding longevity I decided to splash out and upgrade to these. On receiving them today I was pleased with how they were packaged. The earphones themselves feel relatively well made, and come with a cute little kit that may or may not be useful. The 3 different sized ear adapters are of course essential for a good fit, and if you have used other in ear phones I cannot imagine you will be dissapointed with the fit or comfort of these; they are pretty much the same as the 300's, although I needed a small adapter on those and a medium on these so they would be great for people with very tiny ears as mine are pretty small!

Although these have a slightly better spec than the 300's I can't honestly say they sound any different. I was hoping to be impressed, as I was when I got my first Sennheiser's, but these are again pretty much the same. The case that comes with it was something I had high hopes for, as this will hopefully protect this pair from an early grave, however I have to agree with the other reviewers that have commented on the hopeless design. The in line volume control makes it pretty much impossible to fit them in the case as shown on the picture that comes with it, however I have managed by placing this part at the back which still protects it inside the outer part of the case. However, this is not well designed and I can understand why others may use a different case if they have one.

Overall, I am pleased with them, although I am not sure if they are worth the extra money. If they last at least 2 years I will be happy, as it's frustating to have to keep replacing them, even if they are under guarantee - especially if you are on a long train journey when they break!! Fingers crossed....I will update if they do break lol :-)
