5.0 out of 5 stars Psyched!, 3 April 2010

This is pure genius from start to finish, would likely be even better on vinyl, where the track-by-track distinctions would melt even quicker and you could just get swept away by this torrent of roaring psychedelic goodness. The first three tracks are a succinct introduction to this records modus operandi; essentially a turbo-charging of the artists' previous acoustic-driven incarnation into a power-trio type unit, while retaining the delicacy of instrumentation that distinguished the picking on Voice of the Seven Woods. Fans of Ethan Miller and the extended Bay Area modern psych-rock famile should snort this up like a vigorous dose of beautiful salts, cleansing and liberating. As riotously noisy and tremblingly delicate as a burning field of poppies.

Absolutely Awesome,
guitars with character, personality not just the usual mass produced junk. Ability in abundance. Not a verse chorus, verse chorus album just very special pieces of music that certainly reminds me of west coast psych in places but without being too specific because this album is certainly it`s own animal. On the strength of this I got straight back on amazon & have ordered his Voice Of The Seven Woods album. If you like well played guitars/Instruments (with no labels attached), well constructed songs without exception, Rythmn`s that are a lot more interesting/hypnotic than the usual bang-crash bang-crash then you should be looking to buy this album. Listen to the sound samples, that`s all I did & I`ve bought the best album I`ve bought for absolutely ages. I have nothing but good things to say about this
