Great album - really mellow compared to their early days but some haunting tracks - a veritable cracker!! Another great album from Tim Simenon and the BtB crew!!

As a long-time BtB fan, I have to admit that, apart from the excellent track `Black River', I found the last album Future Chaos to be a bit underwhelming. So nothing pleases me more than to say that, just over a year later, Tim Simenon has returned with another new album, and that it's great - a real return to form.

Paul Conboy returns as the major vocal contributor to the album, and his tracks vary between the good (`The Infinites'), to the fairly forgettable (`Blindspot'). The real gems here, however, come from the other contributors, with Kelley Polar, Richard Davis, The Battle of Land and Sea, and Depeche Mode's Martin Gore all contributing to some superb tracks. Possibly my favourite is `Price on Your Head', a moody and moving piece of pulsing electronica, but `Start' featuring Kelley Polar on vocals is excellent as well, and single `Up the Mountain' with it's bouncy rhythmic hooks and catchy lyrics is difficult to resist. Rounding off with the soaring instrumental melodrama of Milakia, this is an addictive album you'll keep coming back to.

I still find myself missing the hip-hop influences and beats of old, but you can't argue with the quality of most of the tracks here. Even if you were put off a bit by the last album, give this one a go, you won't regret it.
