5.0 out of 5 stars Certainly waterproof
I have been looking for panniers for some time; waterproof ones that is. I have searched all the usual places; compared prices; size; specification etc and these ones, for the money, seemed to suit. They are similar in material to oilskins. In this size 20L x 2, they are the equivalent to holding a carrier bag of shopping or thereabouts each. They come in a pair...

The clips and fixings should be better. Pleased with the size of the panniers although they cannot be to far forward on the rack or you may hit them with your heels. If these are the ones you want, have a look around as the company I bought them (Parkers of Bolton) from also sell them on their own website and on a well known auction site!

They come in a pair.

Inside, there is a detachable nylon bag (velcro) which i suppose could be used to store a wallet or purse. They are certainly waterproof as I leave mine on the bike in all weathers and they have not leaked. They clip onto the cycle rack with no problems. However, they do not lock in place or strap down to prevent would be thieves. You can get around that if you need to - i just ran a bungee cord through the straps as i have no need to carry them around free of the bike. They do have a carry strap and lugs for a longer strap ( of the holdall type) but they do not come with a strap to enable them to be thrown over the shoulder. You could just use an old holdall strap I suppose. Seems to me that they could have included a strap as they are detachable and this would make life a little easier for the user. Still, you cannot have everything I suppose. There are no additional pockets, just a bag and so if you are looking for panniers with lots of pockets, these are not the ones for you I would say.

In all, I like these panniers and they seem robustly made. For the money, I think they represent good value. Having also looked at auction sites, I was surprised just how much decent panniers cost and how much people were willing to bid on second hand ones of no real quality. There are plenty of cheap panniers about but many are not waterproof or as convenient.

Worth a look.

Not much to say about these.

Good size, came as a pair, im able to fit all i need in them. They close securely and fit nicely onto my bike rack.

Haven't needed to test the waterproofness yet.

These panniers have lived up to the claims made. I recently completed a 1500k ride LEJOG using in them in a variety of weather conditions they came through with flying colours great value for money!!

Bought the pair to share between two cyclists in the family. Each pannier holds enough stuff for work (i.e. work clothes, towel, lunch etc) and having used in the driving rains of this summer can confirm it is waterproof!
