....the left and right front panels hides 6 CD's per shelf from view and the middle panel hides 3 CD's per shelf from view, making a total of 180 Cd's which cannot be seen and are not accessable without moving CD's form the middle of the shelf.

This large CD / DVD /media storage unit is available in a range of finishes - pine, beech, light oak and dark oak - to suit your decor. It comes flat-packed in two separate packages and was delivered by Watsons within a couple of days of ordering. My teenage son - who had never attempted any flat-pack product before - had it completed, almost single-handedly, in about an hour and a half.

The units design features facia panels to the front which gives the unit strength and stability but purchasers should note this comment from the Product Description - "Please note total capacity including media stored behind side/centre panels is: CD - 1060, BLURAY - 560, DVD - 420 / Visible capacity is CD - 860, BLURAY - 464, DVD - 348." This means that you cannot see all the discs as some fit behind the front facia panels. This is not a huge problem as it only takes a couple of seconds to move some CDs from the centre of the shelf to be able to slide the hidden ones into view.

Once assembled this is one of the nicest flat-packed products I have seen; everything was included and a screwdriver and hammer are all that you require for assembly - one special tool is also included in the pack and, if wall-fixing, a drill is needed. Watsons claim to have a full range of spare parts available - but we didn't need to test this.

Some people will find this design slightly annoying as you can't see the full contents but, at the price, this is an excellent unit which is good-looking and quite sturdy. I will probably buy at least one more of these in the future, and would recommend the product and Watsons, the seller, to anyone looking for reasonably priced media storage. Not quite perfect, but still five stars for value and service.

easy enough to build but disappointed that the final unit (top, covering lid) had the incorrect rawl plug & screw combinations so had to make do.

Quick delivery, well packaged and item as described. The main issue with this item (aside from the previously highlighted side brackets which obscure CD's mention in a previous review) are the assembly instructions. Specifically in regard to the two vertical centre pieces which are almost identical but actually are not. They vary in the positioning of the pre-drilled holes by about 10mm. There was nothing to differentiate these pieces when I assembled the unit and it wasn't till the shelves were being added at the final stage of construction that I realised I had used the upper piece in the lower section and vice versa. The result was that the pre-drilled holes were not aligned, being out by about 10mms and thus causing the shelves to slope. I had to dis-assemble (luckily the glue was not fully set in the dowels), reposition pieces and rebuild. Needless to say the air was blue!

I feel the facia panelling on the front of the unit, which causes the issue around 'hidden' CD's, would have been better positioned at the rear of the cabinet so that all CD's are immediately visible and accessible. I'm assuming they're required to give extra strength to the unit otherwise why have them at all? Having said that the end result is quite satisfactory, holding a substantial amount of CD's and with a good finish.

I bought this unit to store our cd and dvd collection and it absolutely does the job - I would agree with other reviewers that there are some of the cds that you cannot then see because of the middle display support. However as a unit for storing a large amount of cds and dvds it has been an excellent purchase. Very easy to assemble as well.

I bought this for my husband who has an extensive CD collection. I had read the reviews that said you could not fit in as many CD's as it stated and they are right you cannot get at the CD's behind the wooden sides and middle strut. He has found he has to put something at each end which does diminsh the amount you can put on the shelf. I probably would have still bought the unit but I think the company should be honest. Yes you can fit the amount of CD's it states but they should also tell you that there are....... number which cannot be seen or got at easily. It was also not so easy to put together and we had trouble with the shelves not being quite level even after we had asked for advice from the suppliers.

Perfect for storage of dvd/wii games,Oak not a colour match for me but still looking.after a few e-mails refunded quickly including postage.
