Needs formatting or disk repair every time you put it into another computer, meaning you cant actually transfer anything between computers. Very long time writing to drive. Wasted my money.

This USB memory stick has caused nothing but problems.
Numerous times, I have went back to continue working on a document, only to find it corrupt and unable to open.
This is unacceptable to me when I am relying on this usb to safely transport files between computers that I require in order to submit reports on time.
I always ensure the USB is safely removed before removing it and I try to always ensure I have a back up. However, it's just annoying trying to transfer data between computers only to find out that I have nothing of use and have to start over again.
I would not recommend you buy this USB memory stick if you require it to transport important files or if you move between a number of computers whilst completing work.

However, if you have the time to continually back up and have time to ensure that everything is working smoothly each time you finish using it, this is good value for money.

for those few quid that i've paid it's not so bad... the biggest downside: it is VERY SLOW when it comes to copying bigger files...

I purchased this 32GB Transcend USB Drive to record programmes from my Sharp TV.

Although it was not the cheapest 32GB USB Drive, I chose this item due to the good reviews on Amazon & have not been disappointed so far.

The speed of this USB Drive is fast enough to handle the multi format downloads & recordings without any problems.

I was concerned that it may not be fast enough & therefore cause buffering when trying to record from my TV but this is certainly not the case.

If I had to pick a fault it would be that the cap cannot be clipped onto the drive so there is a danger it will get lost or misplaced.

Other than that I am more than happy to recommend this product.

It is a memory stick, nothing more nothing less, a solid state piece of electronic technology which does exactly what it should and works perfectly well, so far anyway - good for saving all your files at reasonable copying speeds - I use it for copying movies onto for playback on my laptop - no problems. Recommended.

This is smaller than earlier models and may well be faster too, though I can't be sure as I got it around the time I got my new computer and simultaneously mislaid the old stick. It has a detached cap like a biro does which could potentially get mislaid.

This drive is fine when it is working, speed is pretty good, but randomly it will (might) decide to become corrupt, the drive resets (disapears in windows, then comes back), the frequence gets closer and closer together, till it loses track of all files on it and becomes useless.

This has happened about 6 times now, so think it's time to go shopping for a new one. Avoid at ALL costs. I'm hoping this is just a bad model, I've got a Transcend 500GB portable USB2 Hard Drive (needs two usb ports) and it's been ok thus far (touch wood).

This flash drive is very fast and effective and I have had no problems so far with either of the 2 I have bought. It is very neat and attractive, with a lid that securely clicks into place, leaving me unworried that it will come loose and fall off. I don't use the hole at the top, but agree with another reviewer that it is too small for a ring etc. but imagine that one of the ones that threads through, ie. Polaroid Wrist Strap & Neck Strap Combo Kit (2 Wrist Straps & 2 Neck Straps) For Digital Cameras would work better. A good price for 16GB.

Not sure about these USB Key drives (8Gb Transcend Jetflash 300). I purchased two for various 'projects'.

Write speed is about 5MB/sec (my hard disks are not a bottleneck).
Read speed isn't bad.. Roughly around the advertised speed of 20MB/s.

These are probably worth the money; but if you want faster performance, I would go for the Patriot XT line of USB drives (I use these as my main USB disk due to their speed - but they are slightly more expensive).
