I just bought this, and I can't really say that much about it, because the display light is so bright, even when dimmed down, that I can't use it.

It seems really strange to have such a bright display on an alarm clock that builds on how lighting affects your sleep..

I bought this from [...] as I struggle with getting up in the mornings in the dark in winter.

Pros

Seems to be pretty solidly built

It works a treat- the light gradually comes on 20 minutes before your alarm and is at full brightness when the alarm goes off.
At the time set for you alarm you can choose from the inbuilt nature sounds which are not bad or to wake up to your radio station of
choice or a buzzer.

A nice feature of this is you can set the you can set the brightness intensity of the lamp to between 1 and 20.

Also very useful is you can set the volume of the radio or nature sounds you want to wake up to.

If you prefer to wake up to your ipod or mp3 player you can set the alarm as normal with the sounds on the alarm clock and/or an alarm on yor ipod or other mp3 player with your favourite music and plug your ipod or mp3 player in to the aux in input with a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable (does not come as standard with alarm clock).

You can also set a second alarm to make doubly sure you don't miss that morning meeting.

Cons

The main drawback of this is that the display light can be dimmed but not turned off. If you are sensitive to light this may keep you awake. This is why for me this is not a 5 star product.

Only other criticism really is that it takes a little time to set up and get used to the way alarms etc are set which could be simpler(but full instructions are provided)

It takes size E14 lightbulbs which are inexpensive and widely available and has a battery backup in case you lose power. The Battery is CR2032 flat Lithium battery also inexpensive and easy to get where I am in the UK

If in the UK you may require an EU-UK adaptor which I believe Amazon ship free with it

Overall a good product.

The display is too bright, even when dimmed. When we go to sleep we must place a book infront of the display so that the whole room is not illuminated.

The nature sounds are unrealistic and poor quality and the loop is detectable every few seconds.

The light is not as in the photo, it does not gradually become brighter. All of a sudden you are faced with a bright normal reading light in the morning which is not a pleasant way to wake.

very disappointing.
