5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic all round album
Having heard much hype around this album hearing the debut single i was both excited and sceptical about this. Excited because i love the debut single and also because some of the things people were saying about the tracks were great, but sceptical because i liked the debut single on the last album but was not very impressed with most of the rest.

3.0 out of 5 stars The firework that fizzled but never exploded.
I was really optimistic about this album given that these days BJ produce the goods every other album and this was following the incredibly dull Lost Highway.
Add to that the fact that the album is called 'The Circle' and surely they're going back to their roots to produce a real rocker, right? .....Wrong!
In fairness the album starts pretty well with '..born to...

2.0 out of 5 stars Dull, uninspiring, easily Bon Jovi's worst of the 2000's,
I listen to plenty of rock music, and I don't remember the last time I was so disappointed in an album by such a household name such as Bon Jovi.
The music this time just doesn't have any lasting appeal, dreary ballads, mid-tempo pop rockers with far to much "filler."
Guitarist Richie Sambora said in an interview for a music magazine that this album is a proper return to "rock and roll" and "rocks hard." Firstly, this album certainly isn't rock and roll, and for sure dosen't rock hard. For proper hard rock, you need to be checking out albums by "Alter Bridge," "Creed," or "Black Stone Cherry" to name a few, but lets keep this review about Bon Jovi.
In order to justify the two stars I have given this review, well that's for two tracks which are remotly decent. Opening number "We Weren't Born To Follow" does grow on you, but the best track on here is "Bullet," a good riff with a strong melody managed to keep me interested.
Beyond that though its far to much "filler" all the way, "The Circle" will no doubt debut top 10 both here and stateside, an apperance on X Factor will no doubt generate interest - not many artists are going to pass up an opportunity to get their new single heard by 10 million viewers.
In summary, "The Circle" will appeal to die hard Bon Jovi fans only, its simply not good enough for anyone else.

1.0 out of 5 stars No Guts, No Balls,
There first two albums were up there...they were a driving force.
After that when co-writers were involved and high teck musical wizardry they leveled out.
Lost Highway.. What on earth was that
and Now the Circle
No guts, No Balls, No enthusiasam (or however you spell it.
This album goes nowhere.
The only 'Rock' song is we were'nt born to follow.
tepid, lacking in power and belief and very weak. These guys have lost the plot which is so, so sad.
Kiss woke up and went back to basics with Sonic Boom, something BJ and the boys need to do
Those that like this album have not grown up with Bon Jovi if thats the case get the first two albums and love the real Bon Jovi

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Album they have ever done,
i have to say this is by far the most boring, dull and uninspiring album they have ever made, my band actually played "we werent born to follow" in Manchester on Halloween, the venue was rocking to it, the people were singing and dancing, so that one works! and i thoroughly enjoyed playing it in the band, but i sure as hell hope we dont have to play ANYTHING else from this album, the songs are boring, no melodic content, cheezy lame lyrics, and Jon Bons voice has become lethargic and nasally/whiney sounding, his vocal tone is just annoying, he has truly lost it now, but he has done since the album Keep The Faith, i truly believe they are cashing in on their name and their previous material, which we all know was Legendary, we were promised an album of Stadium Rock!!! this is NOT it! a complete waste of money, pack it in Jovi! your time has come, sorry!
