So far....all good,

Bought this printer and it has turned out really well thus far! Does everything I want. Pretty quick and quiet. Not changed toner yet so can't comment oo consumption... but I rate the printer. It's easy to use and seems robust. It's quite big. I bought it for a home office but it is more suited to a business environment as it's pretty industrial (saw one in my local bank). But this will last me some years to come.

does what it says on the tin,

Spent days looking for a printer and asking myself whether I needed wifi and colour. At the end of it all I concluded that built in wifi wasn't essential and that colour refills made printing more expensive in the long run. This is when I started looking at mono colour laser printers. The Samsung printer stuck out because it was a four in one with scanner and allows printing on both sides. Made the purchase last month for my small business and haven't looked back. I've owned injects in the past and this is like going from walking in plimsoll shoes to driving a four wheel drive car. I can see this lasting for years.

I Didn't Believe it Possible,

Having worked in offices with laser printers and copiers costing many hundreds (if not thousands) of pounds, I did not think it possible to have a laser printer/copier/scanner/fax from a quality manufacturer for less than two hundred pounds. I was wrong. This little beauty (about 15 inches cubed) carries out all these functions efficiently and the initial cost of purchase will be quickly reclaimed due to the number of copies produced per cartridge compared with the cost of inkjet cartidges - 5000 sheets compared with about 50.I paid £190 for mine but the price has continued to drop, so I have no hesitation in recommending it. One note of caution - you will need to purchase a USB cable if you intend to use the printer function; one is not provided with the SCX-4825FN.

We have just received this machine and it replaces our old stand-alone Sharp fax.I was a little worried when I opened the box, as the manual controls were not clear (at that stage). This led me to mistakenly think you had to connect it to a computer, to be able to use it, especially as the manual is in CD-ROM format. I was wrong. Linking it to a computer is optional and after unpacking everything, I realised it comes with two large stickers to place over the control buttons, in the language of the country where you bought the machine. It is programmed by default to receive faxes into the memory automatically, no matter what you are doing at that particular time, so you do not have to 'switch to fax' in order to receive them. As soon as you finish whatever you are doing, the fax will then automatically print out. We also bought it to use as a photocopier and can I just add, the quality of the prints is exceptional. Furthermore, it is the easiest fax machine I have ever programmed and is our fourth machine. This is an ideal choice for a small business and home-office environment as the photocopier aspect is such a strong element. |
