Ticks boxes you didnt know tuners had,
By I got this on whim. Its the kind of gadget you see that has a nice premise but you dont expect it to pan out - such things normally have some un-anticipated horrible flaw/s that relegate them to a drawer, back of the tool cupboard, shoebox or even the bin. But now and then I like to give new toys that have a different slant on old things (or are totally new things) a shot. This has performed far beyond my expectations. It seems silly to wax lyrical about a device that you've had for all of weekend and doesnt do anything really new, but it works so well, you cant help it. - Its accurate. This is a must for a tuner, so lets get it out of the way. I trust this tuner. - The vibration detection works fantastically. I've clipped it to the most and least resonant of my many electrics and my sole acoustic and it picked up them up just fine. - It can tune fretted notes fine as well, so you can intonate with it. - I've tried it with a guitar that had a capo on, by attaching it TO THE CAPO not the guitar, and it still worked fine (though obviously the tuners didnt work so well with the capo on!) - You dont need a cable for it. It doesnt even have a jack for one. All in all its great for just sticking on your headstock and forgetting its there until you think youre out of tune or need to know that youre in tune. Its especially good for recording, and has taken up residence in my home studio, because you need to be in tune for every take, and this is the easiest way to check - no plugging in and unplugging every 2 minutes. Strongly recommended for ALL guitarists of all skill levels and walks of life. It'll make your other tuners obsolete. EDIT - There is a flaw: its accuracy drifts (develops a systemetic error of about 5 cents) when the batteries are low. Revised opinion - 4 stars. Thats a bit daft, and maybe its an unavoidable consequence of a piezo tuner or something, but it voids the most important aspect of it after a while.

Eno clip-on guitar/bass tuner - brilliant,
By An added bonus for me is that, when the tuner is set to Chromatic mode (rather than Guitar or Bass), it displays the note being played - whether open or fretted. No more looking up fretboard charts, or counting which fret I'm on and working out the note. Pathetic I know, but I need all the help I can get.

Recommendation from a Beginner,
By It is, in fact, an Eno ET-3000 and a quick Google leads me to believe that these retail for anything upwards of £15 (plus postage on top) usually so it's a bargain straight away. It's also extremely easy to use. Switch it on, set it to chromatic and clip it to the Guitar head. Strum the string you want to tune and it'll tell you what you're playing. From high to low you'll want E B G A E (Easter Bunny Gets Drunk At Easter) for a standard acoustic guitar tuning. Twist the tuners a bit and strum again and you'll see it's changed. Once you get the dial in the middle of the display for the desired note, the display will go green and you can move onto the next one. Within 10 minutes of picking up a guitar for the first time I'd tuned it perfectly. Being as compact as it is, it's very portable too so it really has no downside for the money. Now I just have to learn the guitar :) Highly recommended!

A Simple and GREAT DEVICE at a very reasonable price.,
By A Customer "*Bookworm*" (England) - See all my reviews The hardest thing to get correct with this device is setting it to the correct frequency and is simplicity itself. After setting it correctly for her first she was shown how to use it and was off. All we here now is "That string is way out i'll have to tune it!" and does so. I too cannot paise this devise highly enough, its compact, accurate and so easy to use at a price to fit any pocket. 5 stars is not emough for this product!!!.

In tune with what I needed.,
By Guitar Heroine "Music maestro" (Somewhere In England.) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (TOP 1000 REVIEWER) I sometimes tune my guitar in noisy venues so it's not so easy to tune by ear; this clearly indicates whether or not you're in tune, and you can be tuned up and ready to go within a couple of minutes. It works for all manner of instruments; I've experimented with a bass guitar, violin, banjo, mandolin and ukelele as well as ordinary guitars.

Brilliant,
By Brilliant for gigs where you may not have an integrated tuner on your amplifier and you need to tune up in a noisy environment. Do not consider buying it, just BUY IT!
