5.0 out of 5 stars Concise and clear help on Bible translation in English, 6 April 2010

(REAL NAME)
This book, while not a highly technical tome, nevertheless deals with the main issues in translation which is accessible to most. The book holds a great deal of basic principles and helpful information for any one willing to listen to the argument. It brings a courteous challenge to those who assume that 'dynamic equivalent' is the only useful way of addressing the issue of Bible translation. If the originals are the words of God, we need to take care what we do with what we have,to bring the best words to a modern audience. His points are good, his argument persuasive, helping the reader to think more clearly. No bad achievement!
