For anyone touched by the cooler, tender side of jazz epitomised by 'Kind of Blue', this ultra-sensitive, minimalist, indescribably beautiful album is a 'must have' work that is more profound each time you hear it. Don't hesitate!

One of the later releases from Chet Baker when he had married Diane and for a while life had improved before his addiction cut in again leading to his destruction. This is a marvellos CD with magical playing and singing. Sincere, honest and true to his genius. No Baker fan should be without this CD

Perhaps one of the finest CD's I have ever bought - some real cool notes and very relaxing. Used the CD when I was having a scan at hospital and going through the scanner - made the process an enjoyable stress free experience, would recommend this to others.

This is Baker in his later years, one of his better efforts from this period where he was suffering from excessive drug abuse, playing mainly standards and all in all is a pleasing album, recorded in Copenhagen 1986, 2 years before his untimely death.

Trumpeter Chet Baker(1929-88) and pianist Paul Bley(1932-2016) recorded this haunting duet session on February 27, 1985.
The eight tracks include six standards, one original from Baker and Sonny Rollins' 'Pent-Up House'. Chet Baker has a heartfelt vocal on 'You Go To My Head' and Paul Bley accompanies well throughout.
Sound quality is far from perfect but the sensitive and melancholy music on 'Diane' deserves to be better known.

The hero here in this album is the space. Both Chet and Paul explore every corner of space, such that it speaks even louder than their phrases.
