5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
This is a solid piece of equipment. It is really well made, easily assembles and does exactly what it says it does. The C-clamp (not shown on the photo) is likewise very good. There are 3 horizontal 'joints' (only 2 shown on photo) as well as the tilting one. Very good value for money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing quality
This Product is very sturdy as many have described, mine unfortunately sloped badly from right to left meaning that my laptop screen was at an annoying right to left angle. I inserted two washers under in the screws under the flat surface my laptop sits on which has hopefully cured the problem. This is the only disappointing note on what should be a quality product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Neat Product,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmI bought one of these to use in my music studio. I have a 49-key Oxygen keyboard that used to stand end up on the floor and get in the way all the time. So, I bought one of these and attached the music keyboard to the laptop shelf. The music keyboard is, obviously, much wider than the shelf, so I used the supplied velcro pads which are easily strong enough for my "light" touch. If you have a heavy touch, you might need to attach it more solidly. I removed the integrated keyboard shelf that comes with the product as it does nothing for me. Now, when I need to use the music keyboard, I just pull it towards me and it sits just to the left and slightly above my computer keyboard allowing me to use both. When I am done, I just push the music keyboard out of the way giving me space to work with the computer. Really neat.
I am not sure why 18% of people who viewed this item chose the Lindy version. I am pretty sure they are identical in design.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strong and sturdy but not great for adjusting fequently!,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmWhen I received this item the first thing that I was impressed with was the overall weight of the thing!
It's VERY heavy and sturdy so there's no worries about it managing the weight of a laptop. The reason I purchased this is my desk is pretty small. Sometimes I'm on my laptop and sometimes I'm writing on A4 paper. The laptop takes up so much of the desk, that the A4 paper doesn't fit completely on the desk. So I need the laptop out of the way when I'm writing, but also close by in case I need to Google something!
I think my Support Arm may need a little oil or something as the joints are really stiff! Also, the height of the tray where the laptop sits IS adjustable, but I think it would be tricky to do this whilst the laptop is sat on it's tray.
Maybe that's why all the other brands I've seen are so much more expensive (£100 plus)- perhaps they are more easily adjustable.
All in all, I would recommend this product if you're happy to have your laptop higher up on a desk or out the way, but not if you want to move the laptop up and down and left to right (like the lights that dentists have!)

5.0 out of 5 stars Ex Pro Notebook/Laptop Support Arm,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmThe item arrived as described. All parts and instructions where included in the box including the hex key needed for assembly. The parts are all well machined and fit together superbly. Once installed the swing joints where stiff but upon adjustment with the hex key all the movement axis where soon smoothly working. The kit includes four rubber pads and two velcro style strips. The four pads worked well but could have been either bigger or more provided to make the surface more slip resistant. I did not apply the velcro as I hate sticking things to my laptop.
Once assembled and sited, I found that the arm was an excellent platform for a very large laptop (Dell XPS Studio 17" with longlife battery). The screen was at an ideal height for health and safety and the raised deck meant that I could use an external mouse and keyboard easily. The support arm did exactly what was hoped and turned my laptop into a reasonably configured 'desktop' style machine.
The deck was stable and did not move unless direct action to move it was taken.
For the price I would highly recomment this for either a Screen or laptop. The image indicates a tilted deck but it may also be used with no tilt (flat) which would take a very large LCD monitor.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Solid Purchase,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmI bought this to have my macbook pro on, I use a keyboard and so I needed something to raise my laptop above it. Since buying I think a year or two ago, this has held out, been strong, not given me a single problem. Considering I saw others on the market for so much more, this was a brilliant purchase. Definite recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Freedom!,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmThis 'Ex-Pro Notebook/Laptop Support Arm' was £43.97 when I bought it, and was dispatched and sold by Express Pro.
I have only had this a short time but so far am very happy with what feels like a high quality and sturdy product - it just feels nice and solid, and it looks smart too. Assembly couldn't have been easier: stick a few bolts into the clamp system with the supplied allen key (the clamp accommodates three different coarse settings of the plate which the actual clamps pass through); tighten up the desk clamp; adjust the position of the arm, and make each joint as stiff or free as you like by adjusting each bolt with the same Allen key; use four small crosshead bolts the 'table' onto the arm (you will need to supply your own screwdriver for this), and you're done!
I have a reasonably weighty Dell XPS laptop, but feel confident that the stand is well up to supporting it. Little rubber feet to place on the 'table area' wherever you wish in order to provide grip for your laptop are provided, and seem to work well. Velcro strips are supplied as well; I don't fancy putting them on my laptop, but with the large ridge at the end of the table and the rubber feel I feel confident that my laptop is perfectly secure even when the table is at its maximum tilt (about 20 degrees from the horizontal).
I have found adjusting the position of my laptop amazingly easy, and being able to just hover my laptop over papers instead of clearing a space just makes everything so much easier, and has made my desk feel so much more spacious!
The little cable management clips underneath the arm segments are useful for keeping everything tidy, and also making sure they don't fall down the back of my desk when I unplug my laptop! They have an actual slot system, so once your cable are in, you close the clip up and is won't come undone unless you slide it open - no chance of cables just pulling out by themselves! I have also sat a small external hard disk (for backups, so I won't be taking it anywhere with me) on top of one of the arms and cable-tied it in place for stability, which has reduced desk clutter further!
While it was perhaps a little towards the top end of what I was happy to pay, I am now very glad that I did - this is just what I wanted; it frees up space on my desk, keeps my laptop at a comfortable reading height, and feels like a quality product that will probably still be here in years to come when laptops themselves have been obsolete for years!
5.0 out of 5 stars Ex-Pro Notebook/Laptop Support Arm,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmDear All, The product arrived earlier than I expected and was well packaged. I read the other reviews that praise this product`s quality of design and build; I must say this is a quality product that has done my spine the world of good now that I can position the Laptop so I can sit upright in a comfortable posture in my chair. The only word of caution I would say is the positioning of the two Velcro securing strips and the four rubber cushioning buttons; make sure you position them so they do not block any of your Laptop`s air cooling vents. This last point is not explained in the pictorial instructions. Finally other than an Allen key that is provide the only other tool that is needed is a screwdriver. I am aged 65+.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible - absolutely fantastic build quality,
This review is from: Ex-Pro Notebook / Laptop Support ArmI was astonished by the quality of the design and manufacturer of this item when it arrived.
It looks fantastic, and it's really sturdy too. It looks far more expensive than it is too!
When I showed my dad his reaction (halfway in the door): "My god that's fantastic! Have you seen the weld on that?! How ** much did that cost?!"
When I told him the price he was even more surprised, he thought I'd spent a fortune :)
