That great institution - the pub - appears to be in decline as more and more premises convert to `trendy' bars.

OK, you still get music played, but it's all so repetitive and mind-numbingly loud that you can't hear yourself think.

That wasn't the case with pubs, and anything that keeps the memory of proper pubs - with juke boxes - alive can only be a good thing.

Such is the case with this collection, with the type of music that you'd like to listen to whilst having a few pints with the mates.

All types of music are gathered here: from the coffee bars with The James Bond Theme; through the sixties with the likes of The Animals and The Beach Boys and even a couple of rock and roll hits and easy listening from Eddie Cochran and Frank Sinatra.

Diva anthems from Shirley Bassey, seventies hits from ELO, Cozy Powell, Mud etc etc.

Eighties and beyond with The Human League, Ultravox... the list goes on.

THIS is the type of stuff we want to hear on a night out.

By the way, mine's a pint!

Excellent value for money and fab tunes. Would definitely say it's worth buying as a treat or for a friend at Christmas.

120 Tracks on 6 CDs for just over a quid a CD?

You really can't go wrong can you.

There are so really good tracks and here and this would make a really great gift for someone who likes music and likes it loud.

Cheap as chips so you can leave it in the car and use the skip button for the ones you don't like.. Bliss

I bought this collection of CDs because of the wide and varied selection of music from across the decades and you would be hard pressed to not find many tracks that would remind you of times gone by when bands were formed by friends rather than by men in grey suits!

Good buying experience, would have no hesitation in recommending the purchase of this and similar products to other Amazon customers.

Great mix of 70s, 80s (mostly) and 90s pop. Not a lot of "hard" songs on this one. It's a personal taste of course, but I don't feel there are many duds on this album.

Coincidentally, no overlaps with another one of my favourite inexpensive compilation albums, 100 Hits of the '80s. It's worth buying these two together.

If you liked the eighties music then this covers this decade well. As usual there may be one or two that you didnt like then but that doesn't detract from the overall quality of the music. 120 tracks for the price was absolutely brilliant. I have enjoyed going down memory lane with this.

Somebody has been in some strange pubs! Most of what is on this compilation is not readily available elsewhere, but I doubt everything featured on a pub jukebox. On the whole, a good compilation to listen to - just make sure you read the track listings.

This is just like being in the pub with your mates and loading the duke box to play your favourite tracks. Takes you right back. A lot of music for very little, definitely value for money at twice the price.

the tracks on these cd's will give you memories to take you back to your youth, having the odd pint and eyeing up the talent. like all compilations you get the odd dud, but on the whole it's a good listen.
