5.0 out of 5 stars Trippy and lush
The single 'Bones' provided a preview of this album: dense orchestration, relaxed and mellow tunes, ethereal vocals. The full album lives up to the promise of 'Bones' in full, offering an utterly sublime saunter through a complex, laid back and - yes - joyful soundscape. It's hard not to use the word 'psychedelic' somewhere in any review, so let's get it out of the way...

It's hard not to use the word 'psychedelic' somewhere in any review, so let's get it out of the way now. Like their spiritual ancestors, Pink Floyd, A Mountain of One reward both casual and careful listening; there's an instant connection with this record, but repeated listening reveals more and deeper pleasures. Indispensible.
