Delivery was super fast and free. It does the job very well, however, no-one has mentioned that after it dries (which takes an impressive 1 minute if that), in the light, you will see it leaves a clear streak mark so I will have to buy polish cloths to get that out. My wooden floors are high gloss but this leaves a matt finish but overall, I am happy with the results. Another thing I noticed was that after hoovering the place, although the cloth picks up as much dust as possible, not all is stuck to the cloth so brown wet dust gathers at the corners or edges of the area you've mopped. These are very small matters which doesn't bear an hindrance to how I feel about its excellent performance. I was going to purchase the H2O mop advertised on TV but after reading the reviews here, I thought best not especially as many reviewers complained that the H2O took 30 minutes to dry or left the floor extremely wet. This hometek mop has the area dry within ONE minute which I am extremely pleased about casuing less disruption all round. The cloth enclosed with the product with the abrasive surface was great on my vinyl floors which has grooves where dirt embeds itself. I scrubbed this area with the mop and on my first attempt, it took as much dirt as it could. I'm sure on my subsequent attempts I will get all hidden marks from my vinyl. I used the softer cloth on my wooden floor but additionally ordered the set of 3 soft cloths for each room in my home as I intend to use one cloth per room. I just used a full dose of my ionic water which was enough water for the bathroom and kitchen and another for the living room and large coridoor. This also comes with a free water softener which, after reading the instrucitons, had me slightly confused but that's another story...

Update May 2013: Still going strong after 3 years but I also bought separate pads for it that doesn't work but aside from that, this is a good buy!

Bought this product as a replacement for a Polti steam cleaner. Love it! I've got a tiled floor in kitchen/diner & conservatory and this makes light work of cleaning them and doesn't leave the floors wet. You need to go over marks a few times but as the mop is so light and easy to use, this is not a problem. You need to keep topping up the water reservoir, as it doesn't hold that much water, but again filling is a breeze. I also bought additional mop pads although 2 came with the mop. Equally as good steam cleaning as a Polti and much cheaper.

10 out of 10 for steam cleaning kitchen floors not so good for getting behind toilets and other smaller places where the head doesn't fit. Tried it on carpets and with a stain remover it did get out stains that I couldn't get out before but be careful with fumes of stain removing products with the steam, need room well ventilated. So easy to use on carpets. Good for getting rid of pet and student odours. If using for carpets do get spare steam mop pads as they will be needed. Easy to clean the mop pads, pop in washing machine. When cleaning big areas I found that if you bought a big container of distilled water it was just that bit qicker than shaking that bottle for a minute for the water softner. Really is light weight and easy to use.

I bought this to replace an old larger steamer with attachments but no on/off button for the steam, which I rarely took out of the cupboard because it was too much hassle. In contrast, I love using this mop. It arrived the day after ordering, everything was in the box and it clicked together within seconds. I did not want anything with attachments as I just wanted a mop to clean my floors. I have a combination of ceramic tiles, laminate and carpets. I mainly wanted something quick and easy for my hard floors while refreshing of carpets was an added bonus. This product did the job perfectly. It did not overwet and was dry very quickly, within minutes. It is easy to use and having the foot operated on/off switch at the floor is very convenient. You can refill during operation easily and the see-through water holder shows the water level. It was very easy to glide back and forward. When I put the carpet glider on, it worked well and did not fall off at all. I have a good sized hard floor area to clean, consisting of large hall, dining room, kitchen, cloakroom and bathroom and only had to refill once. It left a streak free finish. The cord was long enough to get each room done, although I have plenty of sockets to plug in where required. There was no impact on the machine readiness to operate in the short time it took to move from one socket to another. I did not need an extension at any point. Although the floors looked clean when I started, I was amazed to see how much dirt came up on the cloths. It easily dealt with any boot polish scuffs which can normally be a bit hard to remove. I had vacuumed first as always so there were no large bits to start with. The cloths washed up beautifully in the washing machine along with a towel load. It is small enough to be stored where I normally store my sponge mop. I am very impressed with this product.

Very pleased with my purchase. I was a little reluctant to buy at first but glad I did. Always feel that the floor is really clean after using the steam mop. It's not a miracle worker like they would have you believe on the tv and stubborn marks do need a little help sometimes. The floor dries in no time and looks good. Wouldn't like to be without it now.

I was so pleased when my steam mop arrived so quickly. Easy to assemble, I put it to task straight away, first on the vinyl of my kitchen ( I thought if it floods there, it's not a problem). It did not flood, it worked perfectly cleaning the kitchen floor very nicely. I had to pick up some big bits, but that was OK.
Then, I used it on my plain carpets. It worked marvellously. I had this sensation of a really clean carpet. As I have my lounge and bedroom floor carpetted, I did them all with success. it was dry very quickly too. I also tried the door coco mat, but that was too rugged - I really did not expect to clean it; the pad was just taken away from the steamer.
Yes, I am super pleased.
In fact, I am converted to microfibre and I have already the microfibre floor cloth and some microfibre cloths which I have used well to wash dishes,my nebuliser kit.
Washing all these in a net, is very easy too.
My wife is in hospital currently. She never thought I could become a good housekeeper! You can trust this product on your vinyl and on your carpet. Easy and fast and efficient. Do use a water softener or some distilled water.

Undoubtably a very good machine & works well as you will see when you have finished & take the mop/cloth off to be washed! It was so black I couldn't believe my floors could get so dirty & yet it not show up to the naked eye. My lino on the kitchen & bathroom floors look great, as do the mosaic tiles on my cloakroom floor; but the grout on the mosaic tiled floor did not come up as clean as I had hoped. I also tried this machine on my laminate floor throughout the rest of the downstairs & can honestly say I was disappointed. I have tried this a few times & everytime there are smeary streaks left on the floor which just wont clear. Don't seem to get this on other flooring types. This is my only criticism otherwise I would give this machine 5 stars. The machine is very light & portable & very easy to use.

As a disabled person who cannot get about very much, I have to employ a cleaner. She is very good and to help her I had a steam mop which was very good. The inevitable happened and it broke. I looked at all the reviews and decided on the Elite Light and Easy. She says it is far better than the old one and is lightweight to use. I have rough ceramic tiles in the kitchen and smooth ones in the downstairs toilet. In the bathroom I have white vinyl tiles. The steam mop gets all the dirt off and leaves the floor dry with no messy marks. Well done.

I really like using this product. It's worked really well and it makes it so much easier not to have to fuss with a bucket of water. It takes a while to get the mob wet. but once it does it glides over my linolium surface just fine. Every now and then i have a stubborn stain and I spray cleaning liquid on it then glide over slowly and it comes out. The carpet adaption does come off easily when you move it along the carpet but i fixed that easily with a couple of rubber bands. At the moment the water crystals in my water bottle are still ok and I think i'll just buy distilled water instead of having to fuss with refilling it all the time. to so a small kitchen and living room i have to refill the tank about 3-4 times. I dont fuss with the funnel. I just aim the bottle straight into the nozzle. I think the bottle should be see through because I tend to overfill it which makes the crystals escape with the overflowing water. I wouldn't use the steamer with tap water as i can imagine that it would become clogged up with scaling very easily. The cord might be a tad short for larger home areas but it is so easy and light that it is minimal effort to just plug an extension cord in. For some reason the last couple of times I've used it some steam seems to escape from between the mop and the machine and through the bit that connects the main tank and the mop head. It doesnt seem to make a difference to the cleaning but the fact that it is now escaping means less of it is going on my floor. I've already recommended this to my mother who has problems with tendonitis in her shoulders and has always suffered mopping in the traditional way. I can't imagine the mop lasting over a year as the materials it's made of don't seem that durable however it is so cheap i'd order another one immediately. I went to larger electrical chains and it cost £70-80 to buy it so I'd stick to ordering online if i were you.
