Recently shown on Sunday evenings on ITV this programme is very enjoyable. Alan Titchmarsh takes us through the seasons, with a programme covering each. With some information about what each season means and how it applies to our habitat in this country you are shown some lovely shots of animals and plants, indeed nature in all her glory.

Why this is so good is because we don't get bogged down in loads of facts, just enough to keep you interested, albeit things that you probably already know. Showing different people who work such as farmers, to pepole whose work is more seasonal such as coppicing and certain types of fishing Alan gives us something that is nice to relax to and enjoy.

Of course you are probably like me and really will watch this for the animal scenes, but there is also some scenes of how we celebrate the seasons from our pagan past. This is good for the whoe family to watch and must surely be an aid in getting young ones interested in the countryside.

This lovely DVD, covering the four seasons in the U.K., is a fantastic walk through the year with a very entertaining host - Alan Titchmarsh. This is one DVD I shall enjoy watching again & again... well worth purchasing if you like Nature documentaries...this one is certainly not boring!

Not only informative, but also very therapeutic. The superb quality of the filming is a delight to the senses. The rich quality of the narrator's tone of voice adds to the enjoyment of the film. Watching this DVD not only helps one to appreciate nature, but helps to lower one's stress level. I tend to fall asleep if I watch this video at night. I'd recommend it to anyone suffering from stress or insomnia.

This is a similar product, frame-format and style-productiona as previous Alan Titchmarsh's documentary, The Nature of Britain, fascinating, loving and caring view of natural flora and fauna in the British Isles that you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful photography, creatively introduced and explored and all about Britain. Facinating and most enjoyable as well as instructive. Also makes a good introduction to Britain and it's wildlife, excelent for schools and advertising us abroad.

I think I'm in love with Alan Titchmarsh. I love his easy going presentation, he is so personable, and makes you feel like he is talking to you alone.

This is a wonderful trip through the British countryside throughout the year. Its a great way to get to know better and to understand this beautiful land called Britain.

I am a great fan of Alan Titchmarsh as he seems far more down to earth and normal than lots of presenters on the television today and I simply love this DVD.
