Stephen and his film crew have been able to share with the world a glimpse into what a solo rider in the Race Across America put themselves through whilst competing in what is considered to be one of the toughest races on the planet. This film gets up close and personal with the riders & crew and looks at the highs and lows as the race unfolds across the 3,000 mile plus journey.
This is about as close as you can get to understanding the solo race without actually doing it yourself.

You don't have to be a cyclist to get something from this film, anyone who watches it will be inspired and blown away by the shocking truth of what a human being can achieve with the right mindset.

If ever a film embodied the obsessive, gruelling and self-challenging nature of endurance racing, this is it. Theres triumph and tragedy, blood, sweat and tears. All in all a true human story. The film follows participants in RAM (the Race Across America) a 3,000 odd mile endurance cycle race from the west to East coast of America. As well as focussing on the personal motivations of individual participants theres breathtaking camera work of the actual race in which you can actually feel the exhaustion and elation of the riders!!!!! Along with the film " 24 Solo ", this really does show you how hardcore these athaletes are as well s the physical, mental and emotional toll of the racing. Quit simply amazing. If you ever purchase a film on cycling make it this one. Check out Stephen Auerbach's other cycling film, " RAM " and keep an eye out for the forthcoming "Stay on the Bike."

Amazing study of a set of people mostly men though there is a woman featured too, undertaking a brutal bike race across America. These are unusual people, they have very different backgrounds and different reasons for competing. Mostly they are competing against psychological and physical limits , rather than against each other. It does seem to be an addictive pattern for most of them, they come back year after year, for more pain. Fascinating stuff.

Too many music cues.Too many different musical styles constantly bludgeoning my ear drums taking me out of whatever narrative may have been there. Did the composer even look at the pictures? Actually, did the director or editor bother either? Too many contributors. Very poorly structured, messy and incoherent film making at its worse. Should've been compelling. Even Nat Geo would've done a better job.

Amazing personal stories of a handful of true athletes as they compete in the most arduous of cycling races. You'll laugh, you'll cry...you'll have sheer admiration of there pure will power...or madness, who are we to judge? Just watch it!!! Brilliant!

Bought this for my husband for xmas as he is a keen cyclist. He said he was inspired by the film and was totally not expecting how real life the experience would be. If your partner is into cycling it has to be a defo as a present

This documentary style film is gripping and has you hooked from the start. I thought that I was a keen cyclist unless I watched this. Words fail me but it's a must see. You won't regret it
