Purchased for my neice for a cycle tour of the Isle of Man. The kit covered most of the equipment needed to carry out roadside repairs to her bike, advised her to buy a 'box' spanner for the larger nuts in case they worked loose.

This kit is excellent for a general repair of your bike when you are on the street.
The multi-tool has most of the things you'll need, but the most important thing for me is that it doesn't bend easily under pressure like other products i have encountered.
It also has a glue, some patches and adhesives for repairing the tyres and two tyre levers which are made of metal, not plastic.
All these things are packed inside a strap-on pouch that can be accommodated in your belt or in any tube on the bike.
So,5 stars from me because:
1)the built quality is very good
2)it can be transported easily
3)it is a very good bargain(very good value for money)
Reccommended!

I had just bought a bike online and, prior to delivery, I realised that I would need some Allen keys for assembly purposes so I bought this kit. The puncture repair side was really a secondary consideration but nonetheless equally important. (Annoyingly, when the bike arrived it included, free gratis, exactly the same "Swiss army knife" type set of Allen keys etc so if you are buying a bike online best to check if they throw in the Allen keys etc.) Anyway, useful to have an extra set so not a problem. However, on the puncture repair side of the kit I was slightly disappointed to find that it only included 5 repair patches and no crayon or chalk. Bearing in mind that elsewhere on the Amazon site you can find puncture repair kits for as little as a couple of quid which include a lot more patches plus crayon and chalk etc, it did make me feel as if I would have been better off buying the Allen keys and the repair kit separately which would have been overall cheaper and you would have got more for your money. Admittedly it is only a very minor criticism and is easy to remedy by stocking the kit yourself with a crayon and chalk from your kid's school bag. Finally, although the kit does include the strap-on pouch (which is useful for keeping everything neat and tidy) unless you intend to strap this on your bike rather than, like me, putting it all in a rucksack along with the other bike essentials, then I am not sure the pouch is a major selling point.

I repaired a puncture with this. Fortunately I could do the repair at home: I don't think I'd have managed out on the road, because the tyre levers are of such a useless construction. Firstly, they're fairly straight - very little angle. Then they're quite short, so it's difficult to get much leverage. Finally, they have no notch to clip onto the spoke. I ended up using a couple of spoons!

The levers are smooth and I'd think they carry little risk of pinching the tube, but that's little comfort if they don't help you get the beading off in the first place.

The other tools in this outfit are great, but I've had to buy a proper set of levers.

I have been really impressed by this product, having been constantly recommended Topeak bike tools by friends but found their pricing a bit extravagant, it does everything the more expensive tool does and so far has been as robust (admittedly after only mainly moderate use and one heavy session). The puncture repair kit is a nice bonus too!

I bought this for a colleague who had just got herself a bike. The strap on pouch was a nice little touch as she isn't a 'serious' cyclist, so she can still carry it attached to her bike as she doesn't have a rucksack to carry it.

The puncture repair kit is a bit of a let down as it doesn't really include that much, half a dozen patches, tyre lever and adhesive, but no marker. However, it was the multi tool I bought it for and that did come up trumps. It has everything you need for basic bike maintenance, adjustments while out and about.

It hasn't seen much use yet, but she says she feels more confident having it there in case of emergencies

Compact and very useful, every cyclist should have one on his cycle at all times (eg inside the seat next to the spare shopping "bag for life" that you're already carrying).

You really need a cycle pump as well ... but you can risk it without one because once you've fixed the puncture it's pretty easy to pump up at a garage or even borrow from a passing cyclist (did this in Holland once!). On the other hand, many punctures are slow and a quick pump may get you home and be preferable to doing a repair.
