Could do better ...
on 17 October 2012
I had just bought a bike online and, prior to delivery, I realised that I would need some Allen keys for assembly purposes so I bought this kit. The puncture repair side was really a secondary consideration but nonetheless equally important. (Annoyingly, when the bike arrived it included, free gratis, exactly the same "Swiss army knife" type set of Allen keys etc so if you are buying a bike online best to check if they throw in the Allen keys etc.) Anyway, useful to have an extra set so not a problem. However, on the puncture repair side of the kit I was slightly disappointed to find that it only included 5 repair patches and no crayon or chalk. Bearing in mind that elsewhere on the Amazon site you can find puncture repair kits for as little as a couple of quid which include a lot more patches plus crayon and chalk etc, it did make me feel as if I would have been better off buying the Allen keys and the repair kit separately which would have been overall cheaper and you would have got more for your money. Admittedly it is only a very minor criticism and is easy to remedy by stocking the kit yourself with a crayon and chalk from your kid's school bag. Finally, although the kit does include the strap-on pouch (which is useful for keeping everything neat and tidy) unless you intend to strap this on your bike rather than, like me, putting it all in a rucksack along with the other bike essentials, then I am not sure the pouch is a major selling point.
